Right I thought it was about time I put a bit of an update up. But not much to say...

Got all the hubs off easy enough in the end. Then set to changing the CV joints. Unfortunatley I couldn't get the CV joints off the driveshafts. So fgured I'd have to remove the driveshafts from the car anyway ( wanted to do it without ). That's where the problems started. There was nothing to stop the shafts turning while I undid the bolts :(

So I had to put the whole lot back together so I could try and stop the diff from turning. Only it sat back on 4 wheels and hasn't been touched since... Being made redundant and finding a new job took priority and the weather didn't help when I did have time.

Anyway now I know I'll be leaving for my new job every day after Becky I can have the Cordy on the concrete rather than the grass. So on Sunday I decided to get the car moved. The wheels were sinking into the ground so we couldn't push it so had to jump start the car ( 4 months of not being run much has killed the battery. ) and drive it about with no brakes :drive1: handbrake only driving isn't fun

So now it's back up on axel stands on concrete and I've been told how to get the shafts off. So hopefully I'll get that done this weekend and then I can start to get it all back together again :)

"Project Cordy" weekend ahead

Just been to GSF in my lunch break to collect a few bits for the Cordy as I've got a big weekend of work planned for it.

Hopefully on Saturday I'm visiting Flapper whos going to help me get the VR6 hubs pressed in with new bearings. And I've just bought some inner CV joints to go with the VR6 outer joints I have at home. So once the driveshafts have a full set of new CV joints and the hubs are done I can start putting things back together.

Plan for Sunday is then to get the driveshafts, hubs, and front coilovers ( assuming I can get the old top mount bolts undone ) on the car so she can sit on 4 wheels again. Then I'm just two caliper brackets and some brake hoses away from having a drivable car again :funk:

The plans have changed brake wise, I've picked up a set of Leon Cupra R brembo brakes at a nice price so they're going on now [B)]

Hopefully I'll get my polishing kit soon as well so I can have a go at polishing out the salt damage on the TT comps and get them blinging again

Weather is looking good so far too...

I'll try and post some pics up on Sunday once she's sitting at a sensible height ;)
