Actually, could I just have all your mods
You everything I'd want to do to mine (and more!)
Must have spent crazy money on it. Sure it's worth it though.
I have started to experience a similar unsettling problem as described earlier, I have a remap and have started to notice the increase in noise volume from the front end when I put my foot down. The car however does not propel forward with the usual exciting boost I once owned. So its deffo clutch on my pd engine. Is the fr a better engine than the pd? I know I have a greater amount of heat exchange going on in there, or is that the same? This has probably been discussed before, sorry to those who have read it but I find it a little strange why seat have so many differing examples. And does anyone know if there would be a problem exchanging my clutch through the dealer I have reached 30k now but still under warrenty.
schnipps; To test the clutch for slippage said:Nice one Scnipps, i shall try this in the morning i did however, try the hand brake test to see if the car dipped at the rear, and it did a beautiful demonstration of the correct action. i can tell you that before the re map this type of thing never happened at all for sure.
I will be doing some work with the car this weekend, changing the headlights, and maybe a little detailing but she is going back into the dealers to find out what it is. I have the ability to turn off the mapping i have done this before when it went back in for a new compressor (air con) all was fine they never noticed.
i will let you know how things develop as we get through it all. Thanks for clearing some of the other things up for me also.
Let us know what the dealers say - but I'd put money on it being the clutch !
The exact same thing happens to mine, and it started happening on the way home from having my Remap done !
I tihnk he doesn't see them rise. I only notice if I watch it but by the time I look normally it's dropping.
Been out for a run this morning and its worse so its booked in now for definite, lest see whats said, i will report back.
Hows it behaving now you say its got worse?
Is it really that bad that you would just turn the revo off?
I thought i had the same problem (Only got mine mapped last week) but now when just easing the throttle down I havnt had a problem.
The only annoying thing at the minute is im always looking at the revs to work out when i can give it some welly...! Bit of a pain, wish i could just floor it any any time.
You shouldn't floor it at low revs anyway, that will fcuk your clutch up even if it's fine now !!!
If you want to floor it, gear down & then give it some
