I love the S14's

Have FUN!!!

Thanks dude
Will do :D

Nice one, Suj

I do like these little rice rockets. What are the standard turbos good for?

Hey Damo, haha yeah me too, love them :D

around 300-310 (300 though IMO) then you need a GT2871R turbo, and can get 330-350bhp (standard internals). Then I wouldn't put too much through it, as its bound to go sooner then later.

I don't want to go OTT on it, 280-300bhp is plenty, seeing as its 1250kg and RWD lol.

yep, its got exhaust, manual boost controller (just a valve, set ot 0.9bar atm), free flowing K&N panel filter, and stage 1 chip, good for about 250-270bhp, but I guess 250 as no FMIC.

I will get a FMIC, recirc DV, electronic boost controller (around 1.1bar) and stage 1a chip, and should see close to 300bhp I should hope.

Then maybe R33 GTST front brakes (slightly bigger discs needed, but can use same pads, also made from aluminium instead of iron) and bolt onto hubs :D (4pots IIRC).

And I bagged myself some kinda hard to get Z32 turbo wheels (jap import) 7.5J fronts, 8.5J rears (normally 7.5J's all round on UK versions). Getting them in 2 weeks when guy comes down :)

Very clean looking one, Ive had a few 200's of my own, are you on sxoc??

the H-Dev stage 1a chip is definatly one of the best things I did to my first one, although it does give you a taste for more!

Definatly upgrade brakes and suspension before going for more power, speak to Dan @ DB power re the brakes!

Will watch with interest

Hey dude,

Yeah my mate sold his S14a 4-5months ago running stage 1a H-Dev, so I will be too :).

I can do brakes myself for the GTS-T ones, not hard tbh.
Suspension is ok for now, but will do that later too. I want comfort, but with some handling like my mates E39 M5, its awesome, would love one :D

I changed a turbo on an S14a at Santa Pod Saturday lol. Was real fun in the rain....NOT.

Great car's though Suj, you'll enjoy the slideways action.

Haha, I've changed a whole engine in a S14, so I know how fun it is ;) lol

Thanks dude :D

Nice one!

Rwd and boost at the ring should be fun :)

Thanks Luke, will be fun/scary lol. Can't bloody wait :D

Well to even drive the car, it was my cousins wedding this weekend, was so tempted to throw on day insurance, had to talk myself out of it lmao

Got a mental throat infection, with ulcers and all sorts on my throat, PROPER bad...but I hate sitting still, got a stupidly cheap short shifter....came this morning....yes I fitted it lmao

Luckily I got a different type, as 2 of the bolts on the normal one is proper hard to get to, this was a little doddle once I got a guide off google.

Throw has decreased loads, 25% it states, feels more.

Got more bits on way, will keep informed, rest won't be on for a while, as I am dying after fitting that short shifter.

I remember fitting 2 short shiftets to 200's both times I wondered why I bothered! Those last 2 bolts are a pain, I resorted to doing them from underneath!

Have you decided what wheels to go for? And what "stage" of tune your aiming for?

Luckily I got the other kit, where you don't have to remove the lower part, its square and clamps across the indent in the circular part (hard to describe) so was a doddle, all done from inside :D

Wheels I have dibs on, tbh nothing fancy at all, just are OEM, but with extra girth, which is what I want for more rubber on track :)

Stage 1a is my target for now, and easily achievable, I have/ordered/need to pick up all parts except an electronic boost controller and stage 1a chip, so maybe after nurburgring in nov I will decide when to do the h-dev chip :)

EDIT: here's a gif of the way the kit mates to gearbox

PS arun, they are JAMMY, I would love all them bits, flip me have they literally nearly done the car in a day haha epic :)

Tell me about it lol, I saw it at first and thought, this is going to be an interesting build to follow for the next couple of months. Check facebook a couple of hours later and they've nearly finished lol

How did I not notice this thread... These and the S13 are the pretty much the only 'drifter cars' that are actually beautiful(I mean, Skylines are cool and all but not beautiful imho)

Looks so nice! Just a question... My boss owns a (mint) mk3 Supra which I rode in a couple of times... Are these S14a's as quick as those or comparable as far as you know? Always wondered how fast these things are tbh
