Hi Ed, do you mean a picture from the front sort of thing? I was going to say that steve is running et28 17x8's and doesn't seem to have problems. Think lloyd is running 16x8's et25 with a small spacer too but think he's got pretty skinny tyres on!

What wheels are you thinking Ed?

You had any more luck selling yours steve? It's gutting watching how much your bringing the price down :( was thinking of putting mine up august/ Septemeber time but I think not after seeing the car Market for the cupras haha

Sorry only just remembered to check this Scott!

Ye like a square on pic from the front if you could sometime.

Looking at some Audi wheels now, well not looking, have bought, so I hope they fit lol
ET48, will be running 15mm adapter upfront now, so ET33, and hope caliper clearance isnt a worry

15mm upfront will that not put alot of stress on the front wheels?

I know tonnes of people running adapters and spacers, upto like 25mm, never been a problem, in affect its the same as having a low offset wheels, there is no reason in my mind why my wheel (ET48-15 = ET33) will have any more strain on any aspect of the car than somebody running an ET33 up front.. Same amount of material in contact with the hub, same amount of force and pressure being applied.

Think the only upgrade is the kw clubsport top mounts where you can dial in sone camber etc but they are 250 quid :|

Oem ones with new bearing Plates were about 40 quid. Car felt allot tighter once they were fitted with the coilovers

Oem ones it is then haha ye the bearings seem fine this up n down movement seems to squeek checked all other bushes and seem ok. anti-roll bar D bushes have bit of play but nothing major. After lowering it it seems to pull left, had tracking done came out fine ride hieght is same both sides... is there any adjustment on camber only thing i think could be one wheel more cambered than other??

It's not really anything to do with the amount of hub contact or anything like that. Basically, when you move the wheel further out, the turning radius of the wheel gets larger so more force gets put on the steering arm and power steering systems. Imagine the effort in turning the wheel if it was stuck a metre further out!

Standard cupra wheels are ET 43 I think, so you're only making 10mm difference in turning radius. This willl probably have negligible effect in all fairness, but I'm just pointing it out because it's not really correct to think that it will have no effect at all. :)

Mine felt like it turned in loads better with the new wheels, felt more stable too! No spacers on mine either at all either haha

Small update. Helped the place out with a mk4 cupra, that I take my car to for work and servicing etc and I got a txt saying he had found a couple of bits I could have to say thanks. So got myself a genuine momo seatsport gear knob and the chrome gear gaitor surround bits. Fitted the gear knob but don't think I'll fit the chrome bits, maybe have them done gloss black.

Also leant my dad the car last week whilst I was at college and he decided to do a mod himself by smashing into a pigeon :| now got a cracked grill, feathers all over and a pigeon **** on my intercooler! New grill is in the post, gonna be a bumper off job mind :(

Had a new map trialled on last Saturday too, running more boost, as it's pretty conservative on boost at the mo. Didn't take to it as well as the current one and was letting off shotgun bangs for fun, so that came straight back off for now! Be off back soon, however :)

Haha his excuse was that they usually move :/ David at SERE has sorted me out already though so that's something at least :D

It's much better for me whilst driving and think it suits the interior better than forge one with it machine body colour and been seatsport but I get where your coming from

Get the chrome gear surrounds on, it really brightens up the interior and looks like it came from a higher spec car :D

Ordered some crn drilled disks for the rear and some oem brembo pads today, car is almost due another service in my eyes so they will go on when I book it in for the work :) also bought few detailing products, poorboys blackhole, poor boys sealant and auto glym hd wax, only came to 50 quid for all that with a couple of micro fibres and extra large application pad ontop of the ones you get with the hd wax, so great deal :D

Hopefully have a crack at a few areas on Friday and have a look at the results!

Went over a couple of weeks back mate and he loaded the map up and we went out with the laptop plugged in, felt savage but wasn't running right and was backfiring like mad when it dropped the boost off. Need to go back and leave the car with him for a day but I'm mega busy most the time so havnt managed.

Car only runs 18-19 psi or so max, seen some stage 2's pushing 23 odd which can't do the turbo any good I wouldn't have thought! Dont think this revised map will get me more power, just higher power across the revs aswell as the torque held better I guess!
