Well I started on the hybrid today, boss was just matching up the turbo and porting the wastegate before I was gonna get it off to CRT next week, when he ended up noticing a couple of little cracks :( not too fussed as I got it for free, just more of a ball ache than anything! I think you could still use it as they arnt where the wastegate is but I'm not risking it.

On the hunt for a ko3s if anyone see's one! Or if anyone fancies lending me a car for a couple of weeks and I'll use the one that's on the car haha

Yeh exactly, it's put me right off the hybrid now from the start lol knowone would have noticed it, it was only because my boss started porting it, that it showed up. Hopefully another one will show up cheap.

There were more cracks further round that went in the same direction, was wasnt worth the risk of getting the work done to it. Trying to kind a cheap ko3/ko3s now so i can still get it sent away soon!

Theres a fooked one in the for sale section that has miles worse cracks than this one. Found a guy selling 3 ko3 turbos cheap on edition 38 so will see what he says, just need to find a good one that has no cracks at all!

Yeh I just didn't know how far down towards the wastegate it went and I guess itl only get bigger :( was just happy to be getting started with it then he noticed that. Half felt like giving it up and just getting some nice wheels haha gonna man it and get another turbo though I reckon

What happened to the IHI kit? Im just going for the standard hybrid as this new one may require a bit of tweaking to get it to fit and tbh i cant be bothered with that hassle

Bloke never got back to me with a price and John who maps the car kinda helped talk me out of it lol

Yeh same here, not fussed about that other one. Found loads of turbos, just gotta pick one that isn't cracked haha

Cleaned inside the car today and realised my gearknob looked abit tacky haha so painted the little indented circles black. Wish they anodised it black after doing the dimples, or just didn't put them on! Looks better now!

Still waiting to hear back about various cheap standard turbos I have seen. Half contemplating leaving the hybrid for now and getting some wheels instead.

Crack doesn't look too clever! :|

I went the whole hog and got a new turbo when I went hybrid, cost a fortune thoough, particularly given whose turbo it was.. I;m led to beleive that the same spec turbo can be had direct from supplier for much less money!

I've emailed Mark at CRT and will see what he says. I am tempted to get a price off them for a whole turbo, rather than me sending them one. I reckon it'l be silly expensive though :(

Been quoted 2-300 quid labour for fitting everything and the mapper i use said he will knock loads off for me when it needs mapping, which is nice :D Launch control will also be going back on but gonna ask for it to be set at 3.5k rpm this time, just need to sort this bloody turbo!
