discovered this after 6 months on my leon. When I had a focus one press would lock the car and second would deadlock. Turns out on VAG cars 1st press does the lot inc deadlocks seconds press removes deadlcosk and disarms alarm

stupid but there you go germans for you

I fell for that one time and time again, mind you I have had 4 Focus..lol on my second LC and I have finally cracked it.

Surely it makes more sense to have the deadlocks on by default? Therefore its stupid ford type people making you have to push the button twice :bleh: hehe

I'm with you on this one

Leon Cupra R210 - deadlock armed with lock button on remote pressed once.
If you press the lock button on remote twice, the car remains locked but the dealock disengages.
The button on the inside by the rear of the seat is to deactivate the interior motion sensors - to operate it you must press it then arm the alarm within 30 seconds.
So - if you want to leave someone locked in the car but able to open the door if they need, press the remote twice in succession to lock. Otherwise, lock as normal with one button press and it's deadlocked.
