Waiting to buy my cupra r 225 at the moment, been looking at a few but i cant see the difference between the recaro seats and the normal?

The normals look like they've got an extra shoulder support. where as the recaros the headrest sits in the seat and dont have the shoulder support.

are the recaros more bolstered because on pictures they dont seem it?!?!

bit confused!

They don't look much different but folks that have them reckon they're much more comfy and supportive than the normal ones. I'd have held out and got one with Recaro's if I'd realised they were meant to be that much better than standard seats, even if it meant paying a little more. There's a lot of folks would snap up a set of genuine LCR Recaros to replace their standard seats if a set came up for sale, me included.

Worth mentioning is that the earlier 210bhp Leon Cupra R had front and rear Recaros as an option which means that the rears are only two seats, not three. The later 225bhp LCR only had the front Recaro option.

I have the Recaro's, front and rear, in mine and pictures won't really do them justice! If you look at them in the flesh up against the normal Cupra R seats, they are much more supportive in every sense and look the part, and the rears look wicked compared to the standard jobbies you'd normally get.

When I was looking to buy an LCR, I actually made the decision to go for the 210 instead of the 225 because of the Recaro's. Defiantly the way to go! :)

I used to have recaros in my black LCR and they are very comfy. Not much of a design difference between the normal seats and recaros.

Also with recaros in the back you dont get much leg room aswell.

I've gotta admit that they do look amazing and are really comfortable. I'm really happy that I've got the recaros.

Just one more extra thing inside that makes my LCR a better place to be than my Cupra. Those and the inbuilt satnav, red stitching, better steering wheel...but yeh, the seats add a little extra, look great, lumbar support was definately welcome on a 1000 mile round trip to Disneyland.

Doesn't look the greatest by todays standard, but it does the job, looks smarter than the Areola (or whatever) radio, and it s nice LCD screen for selecting music too.

Wish I could find details on hooking up other stuff to it...
