TT-RS, ouch. Even at a year old these will still be the best part of 40k. Shortage of cars and long lead times are leading to high residuals.

Tbh i wouldnt mind a new m3 or rs4, id consider them a step up especialy in all weathers and in the bends and 5 doors and a big boot unlike the 997.

the new M3 does feel alot faster than a stage 2 plus cupra, but it isnt which is weird. But if your not out chasing numbers at the pod or times at the track its a brilliant car and engine.

My local dealer reckons he should be able to get me a year old one for about 36k. There are TT-RS right now on audi used car site at 42k.

think ill start saving then, new christmas present for next year lol.

the s3 or the m3? The m3 feels really sporty compared to the cupra even just sitting in it lol.

When the time comes to change I think i'm going for a freelander 2 or rangie sport :)

why is that mate? Friend of mine has a range sport with the overfinch bits and its really nice but he says his drinks diesel like there is no tomorrow. Proper lovely though with the fridge etc.

s3 or a low milage rs4, i think m3 will still be a bit steep price wise come next year. But quite fancy some v8 non resonated madness, fuel wont be much different from the cupra and residuals will be good.

Yeah the b7 RS4 will hold its value very well now, it would make a brilliant buy, especially as there wont be a b8 rs4 apparently.

I aint selling mine for this same reason.

Get a diff :cartman:

Edit: I agree with Mark above - why not get something that could be really enjoyed like a Lotus Exige? Try racing an exige and a Cupra on something other than a straight line, but if its straight line speed you like, buy a motorbike which will absolutely destroy a Cupra to death.

For what its worth I would seriously consider a Focus RS because when they get in to tuning it, I am sure you will see it become very very quick. Also remember there is a new Astra VXR due if you fancy slumming it in the next arsehole car (one which everyone has or wants) complete with FSI technology and therefore probably similar or better tunability as the Cupra with the engine being that bit newer in design.

Lovely. RS4 was my dream car when I was in secondary school. Shame i have speed issues or Id get one

Im constantly back and forth about this. Sometimes I think I should just finish what I started and then see if the diff etc will keep me happy. But then on the other hand I worry about me spending another 5k on mods only for the car to still not fullfil my desires. I think i need to drive dans again:lol:

Ask yourself if you are really getting the best out your car. The answer is no. How much tractive effort is wasted on wheelspin. The answer is loads.

Ultimately the diff will make the car no faster, but it will make it far better able to use whats available. I got stuffed by a Land Rover Discovery last week ffs!

Focus RS, VXR, too similiar to the cupra. Id rather keep the k1 and stick a bigger turbo on it.

TT-RS, 460hp, 467lbft/633nm should keep me happy I think. What I could do though, is buy something in the vaines of a elise etc that is used and wont sepreciate much, and see how I get on with that. The if im still not happy I can sell it and get most of the money back.

True its bad this time of year and I would like to see how the cupra manages with a diff, but I still need extra straightline propulsion.

So its either BT the cupra, get a TT-RS, or keep the cupra and get another car running high ish power and strip it out.

erm vxr8 bathurst has huge power and sounds insane charged but residuals on them ouch plus vx is going through a difficult time they were praticaly giving them away not so long ago, i want something that will holds it value really well and the rs4 is a good all rounder and doesnt mind wet roads which in this country is a problem.

Am i right in saying you can get haldex controlers for them for a bit of fun or is it a different 4wd system than the hatchbacks.
