Only an hour and a bit from me, which makes a change from all these northerners having all the fun.
I keep forgetting to say thanks to whoever put me onto the Hydra DPB-100 diesel additive. Even with the first dose, the engine starts much more cleanly without the smoky exhaust. Engine still feels a bit 'choked' and I've got to rev it a bit when I start it up for it to rev freely, but it's not a daily, so it might take some time for that to work. Needs a service anyway, so will have to see if that makes a difference.
Was thinking about the garage saying my turbo might be on the way out when I took it for its MoT, but given the turbo in the Leon doesn't spool unless the engine is under load, I'm not sure that's actually the case. I'll make sure the oil feed is healthy and might finally clean the intake manifold when it's warmer. How many times have I said that in the past five years though and not done it? It's as bad as telling the missus I'm going to lose 10kg...
