Had to take my SMIC out to get at a bolt that snapped inside the map sensor. Absolute PITA and a bit of a nightmare. My buddy had to take an angle grinder to a part of the bolt and slipped, took a dig out the plastic. Only small but has affected the surface of the plastic on the boss. Drilling it out was just as difficult because of the plastic and didnt go great. Managed to thread a screw in just about...another reason to get rid of the unit and get an FMIC asap.

Okay, my friend has a polo gti 1.8t with aprox 250hp and has the same bov for 2-3yrs.
My car runs the same, no check, nothing, im not seeing any relevant reason why i should go to DV. There are many threads online but very few exact issues with it, its mostly theories.
Prove me wrong i would gladly put a dv. I would try aftermarket dv but not at the moment anyway.

As you all know I am building a rather different leon for racing. Just f8n8shed stripped the front doors and realised I need the bit where you would put the key.. but I want one from the passenger side or rear so I don't have a key lock in the door handle... is any one breaking one or got one laying about by any chance. Will pay and for postage unless your close ish then I'll pop over and pick it up if poss

Caliper winder tool was a pain in the ass to use so took about 45 mins each side rather than the usual 15 minutes. 312mm upgrade on front next.

Get the 256 set up on the rear as well, makes a difference with both braking & looks

I will eventually, its only a daily.
Got the 312 discs and carriers to go on front, might if I can find some though, fit the SEAT Sport AP Ibiza Cupra calipers with them.
The black is actually better for thermal efficiency plus looks more OEM big shiney front mounts look garbage.
Ordered a full tubular front subframe kit for mine...race geometry here I come
And carbon bonnet and bootlid.
Anyone want to buy a full subframe and bottom arm set up all with new superpro buses including castor adjusting bushes. Have done under 500 miles on the car.pm me
