Definately a mod worth doing.
Easy to do.
Hardest part was removing the boot trim..

Certainly is worth a good catch up, and to see progress:) I had a little progress today:) new seal in my 'pancake hose' which almost works, I think the hose wants doing really:/ (genuine 'o' ring is too big?)I just put a universal one in for now, will see how long till it gets spat out.

She's no longer whistling, still have '17705 pressure loss....' Though,

Had to reset the split r, it's so temperamental- it's worth the agg though, for that satisfying noise:)

Loving the quad rear lights, might give that a shot when I'm next bored.

Attempted one of my driveshafts when I got in from work. All was going so well my new breaker bar worked a treat for undoing the hub nut all the spline bolts undone nicely undone the lower ball joint bolts then the ball joint bolt that goes through the hub undone half way and then got stuck. Thought I was gonna have it all done within an hour. Just couldn't get the nut undone I tried everything . In the end I decided I would hacksaw through the bolt which I did but forgot that it was tapered so still couldn't get it out. So I've had to leave it for tonight up on the jack. 3 hours I was out there definitely gonna invest in a nut splitter.

You should be able to compress the cv joints enough to get the flange off the gearbox end, then just manoeuvre driveshaft out under the gearbox? Shouldn't need to undo the balljoint mate, you can also turn the wheel to gey you more access :)

Almost there matty, keep at it fella ;)

Ballpoint assembly should slide out the lower arm? Should b able to take out 3 bolts (13mm) then move the Hub and ball joint same time...?
Bolts aren't too much though,
Reece

Yeah the three 13 mm bolts undone fine and pulled out the lower arm assembly nice. It was the main bolt on the ball joint the one that goes through the hub. It undone half way and then just stopped now the whole lot is turning. Gonna have to try and drill the nut off. And I thought I would do the lower ball joint whilst doing the driveshaft to save time and having to do it at a later date.

Is the top of the balljoint spindle an internal torx or allen head?

Once you get the driveshaft out you should be able to stop the spindle from spinning while you undo the nut.

You got a new torque wrench yet? You'll need it for that hub nut...
