Finally got the replacement wheels from the dealer wrapped in some very sticky rubber. Although there aint a lot of tread on them from new - not sure how they will last but it was more a fun thing than a serious investment.

They now just need a good clean (even though they came off a showroom car!) and then protecting with some Gtechniq C5 but gonna get them on my car asap! :D

Looking very [B)]

TBH though I wouldn't feel short changed with your winter wheels, which are nice. About time you finally got your hands on them though!

So good news and bad news with the cup2's

So i got my perfect wheels back, and while fitting them i slipped and as i lost balance the wrench tapped the alloy right on the diamond cut part... and put a lovely chip in it... ffs what a prat! :(

After kicking myself and fitting all 4 i decide to go for a quick drive to let the suspension settle down. initially going from 18's to 19's i noticed hardly any difference in comfort. perhaps a little firmer as to be expected but to make it a real test i left it in cupra mode all the time.

I found there was a LOT more road noise from the tyres, so thats a bit of a downside...

however...

even though these are brand new greasy tyres not scrubbed in it GRIPS LIKE STINK! Not one flashy orange light and it just went like a rocket ship! :D on the second trip round the little circuit is was doing i decide to not come off the throttle and just go round the roundabout at the same speed... i laughed out loud, as in proper laughed my arse off... the grip is simply outstanding. I cant even describe how it feels, its unreal!

Of course, its 16 degrees outside so when its cold and wet im sure its gonna be a handful but right here right now its amazing... chip in the alloy... WHO CARES when it drives like this! :D

No different than any other Brembo kits. My Ferrari kit is just as bad.

Cupra had its first oil change at 6k, Put Millers Nanodrive in it

Gave the car a good wash with Meguiars "wash and wax". Amazing product, the car looks amazeballs!

Apparently according to the Met camera unit Me and mine got caught not complying with traffic signals !!
Have no recollection of the alleged offence and it is at a junction I pass every day and am fully aware of the camera

christ on a bike? £200 for the set of pads (are they official ones from Seat dealer??) and £200 for a single disc!?! are you running on the sub-8 pack?

I'm not looking forward to having to maintain this then. my mk1 cupra didn't have anything like that in terms of maintenance costs :(

No one else uses the car and the time stamp on the letter is about the time I would normaly be in the area, must have been on auto pilot !
I am going to ask for the photo evidence just to prove to myself that i did do it. I really have no recolection and dont remember any flash from camera
