That sounds great, be good to hear it as you accelerate.

Really like it but to be honest I think it's a bit too quite. If you rev the car, the engine note takes over any sound the exhaust is making.

I guess from outside it's a different story though.

Happy nonetheless

That sounds good - similar system on a cupra would prob sound pretty sweet with the exhaust farts.

It farts alright

All seriousness, my 1.8 never farted with the OEM exhaust, but it does now! Thing is, you press the gas too much then you can't hear the farts at all as the engine overpowers the exhaust..

Had the day off work so did some bits and pieces. Gave the engine bay and exhausts some TLC (detailer didn't have time to get those as polishing took longer than anticipated) and replaced the crappy dealer-supplied reg plates and surrounds with new pressed metal plates (no surrounds).

No more tar or carbon buildup (on the outside anyway). Life's too short to clean the inside of an exhaust :)

I also did some VCDS tweaking. I set the soundaktuator to 0% and it sounds great. The wing mirrors now fold in when I push the lock button instead of having to hold it and the lane-change indicator does 5 flashes instead of 3. The last one wouldn't take (VCDS reported the value had changed to 5 but the car was still doing 3) until I factory-reset the light settings.

:hole::hole::hole: I do that when I wash mine.... I'll get me coat (and go clean it now :D )

:)
If I'd had the power washer out I probably would have covered the inside with tar remover and let it sit to shift some of it. Do you not find the insides get filthy again as soon as you go for a drive?
