Thanks everyone! It took over a month and 3 different dealers to diagnose and replace a leaking injector.

At least it's all sorted now :)

it took a month to diagnose injector leak? surely their diagnostic equipment would have showed up a pressure loss, a fueling loss oh and a smell of fuel they should have noticed?

What was the outcome Jarre, how did they fix it

I'd have thought by replacing an injector... lol.

Replaced injector 4 :)

You'd have thought so, but I think the fault codes just showed misfire in cylinder 4. But yeah, the smell of fuel couldn't be missed in the engine bay.

Taking my fr in to get mirror motor checked. Lets see if they try and wriggle out of warranty claim. Mite stop at bookies to place a bet en route to stealers

I can't complain at Jennings, they took the car in Wednesday, diagnosed it and rang my dad within a few hours, ordered the part and said it would be in Friday, then got a call by 12 Friday to say it was ready to collect! Excellent service from them. Credit where it's due...

Jarre do you know if they checked the operation if the catalyst after the repair?
Doesn't do a catalyst any good all that unburnt fuel being thrown in.

I'm not sure on that one tbh, we just went in and they said here's the key, cars outside. Didn't sign anything to say about the work done etc. might be worth asking for the job sheet?

As it should be. The stereo was clutching at straws by stealer. Bunch of muppets! Loads of people change headunits

I've just removed my p-flo air filter. I've usually got my 7 month old son in the car and obviously drive sensibly cause of this. The noise was just getting too intrusive. I'll have to put it on a well known auction site. It's only been used for a thousand miles or so. ;-)

Went into stealers, new mirror and motor ordered under warranty, no fuss or messing around. Positive experience for a change. Car washed hoovered, mats cleaned and brought round for me to drive away home. 1 car less to wash

Possibly looking for one of these... Will it fit a pre-fl FR though?? I think you have a Cupra.

Good to hear :)

My car has also now been lowered onto sport lines. The springs have been in the house for a month while the car wasn't being used. It looks great, and will look even better when the 17's are back on :)
