In other news, I gave my freshly painted wheels a coat of wax and tinted my rear lights. theres a few tiny bubbles which i think are water and should dry out in coming weeks, much the same way it does when you have your windows tinted

Installed my Revo induction kid to my Leon Cupra, first of many mods I hope love the sound already and seems to pick up the power a lot quicker but only had it out on a quick run.

I use Autoglym engine and machine cleaner and a small brush to loosen everything, then wipe with a microfibre. The brush helps get where your hands can't

Thanks mate, sorry for the late response not been on for a little bit! Much appreciated though will give this a whirl myself when I've sorted other things out first!

As for the thread, I've been having trouble with starting up the car lately, not narrowed down what it is yet and bought a new battery last night and fitted before work, all seems well for now but will see if my problem comes back, if it does then I'm a lost cause haha!

Mine did do the job, for a while, now it takes me 10 seconds to open the bonnet as I have to wait/pull it up as the strut is buggered

Couple of updates.

Car passed it's MOT this morning and for the second year on the bounce no advisories

Also passed a small milestone for the car last night.

Got 3 part worn tyres, tracking done, clutch replaced with solid fly wheel, changed my fuel filter o ring because the mechanic installed the old one when he serviced the car then had it valleted
Total cost £310

Nothing wrong with doing that. Especially when you have no OCD. Don't feel the need to park up at McDonalds car park and show off my new £85 a pop pirellis that have taken my weeks wages and some more, to my mates and onlookers in their modified 206's

Not OCD but a desire to keep my head where it is. Attached to my shoulders. If all your car does is sit in a car park, then fine. Otherwise, for those who rate safety and coming back in one piece as high as how 'nice' a car looks, then part worn tyres belong in the same place as part worn brake pads, second hand brake fluid or previously worn underwear. The bin.
And £85 Pirelli's? I wish!!

I just choose the best wet rated budget tyres I can find. Blackcircles.com aren't bad

Part worns are so risky and to be honest after you calculate the amount of mm you get to the pound, you're better off buying new budgets. Just make sure the label is at least B rated in the wet. I could care for any other ratings

I don't see the risk factor to be fair, never had a problem with part worns, the problem is every car I buy I end up changing every 20k miles or so, I can't justify spending £200 on new tyres when I can get decent ml for £50 all in for 4 with balancing and tracking. The clutch had to be done because it's just easier then selling the car shafted and buying another used car and then running into more problems with the next one I buy.
