What did you and your MK2 do today?

whilst waiting for me dinner to arrive managed to finally at least get rear springs fitted today, be nice if i can get fronts done tomorrow
These 40mm springs if so would like to see some pictures when done
what a day, managed to get time to fit the front H&R's, the top mounts are rubbish on these cars, threads exposed and rot etc, so the captive bit just spins and then you can remove them, i just cut them out and ordered new ones, also put 13mm bolts through the other way as you can see in the picture, so should come apart nice if i want them out later as the threads are now at the top.
they will still have time to settle and abit of a poor pic, im happy with them, just want rid of the arch gap etc.

so we got home, Mrs parked in the street, i got the snow shovel out the garage, cleaned the drive and path' all i heard was a nasty noise, looked, she only reversed into the lamp post, didnt dare look to be honest, noticed the bumper is cracked, paint chipped, reflecter broke, just hope the diffusser etc is ok, will get her to take it to the body shop we use tomorrow

First time back home properly in a while so made the most of having my full cleaning kit and gave the car a proper wash. Snow foam pre wash, 2 bucket method, tango used as a aid, then dried and 2 coats of Poor Boys added plus tyre dressing etc.
Also had a go at polishing out a bump from a few weeks back where someone went in the back of me. Polished most it out so it looks a million times better. Still needs paint really though.

So tried the action cam out for the first time today, had to mount it on the rear wiper' hence the rubbish view, due to my car mount hasnt been delivered yet, pretty happy with the quality and gives you an idea of the sound, will get a better clip up once i can mount it with a view of the exhaust.

Also a quick clean to remove plenty of salt.

Just removed it mate, I don't think it will fit inside the new case anyway
Yeah I'll just remove mine also mate,some people say it works as insulation but never hear people who run the box complain about issues.
I had just the box on my last one and it was sound, think I got a few quid for the fabric case on ebay as well haha
Much better now with the new battery in, next job front passenger door lock... it never ends!

will assess damage in the morning Technically not today, but monday and tuesday I did a carbon clean on my cupra. Not a job i want to do again in a hurry.
Technically not today but last Wednesday my car went in for chain rattle and rattles between revs. Turns out today it's getting a new chain and turbo! In the meantime I'm enjoying putting miles on a city go Monte Carlo instead.

Collected mine from the p.o this morning, I might try and add a little colour to the lid......
Did you remove the battery to install it ?
