Got this done today. Properly easy job once you've got all the parts. Although did drop a washer inside the bonnet skin, which took took ages to get out. Thanks to Daniel M for all the advise on parts etc.

Yeah I'd quite like a black coolant and washer top, the forge ones are silly money though. Not really looked into it properly, but they look a bit silly being the only blue bits under the bonnet.

Been arguing the toss with the warranty company today. A/C hasn't worked in the 4 months I've had the car despite a new condenser and re-gas.

Now gonna get a new compressor and pressure switch.

Gotta pay 30 sobs as the difference between what they will pay for the re-gas once it's done and what my garage charges.

I'll take that especially as at one point they were sounding as if they wouldn't pay for anything as I have no evidence of the A/C being serviced!!!!!

Also on a side note.. The audi TTRS fronts with R32 rears is just the same as the new Leon sub 8 package brakes if I'm correct. (Normally waiting to be proved wrong though)
Oh and I'm jealous of your VWR brakes !

Haha, the VWR kits does look beautiful. I've had them for a good month and a half now and still haven't put them on which is extremely frustrating.
I don't live in the UK so getting parts here is a big pain the the A**!

Want to change the brake fluid so thought I would do everything at the same time. Just can't believe the rear brake lines are taking so long to get here.

As I have brand new rear pads and discs I might as well put them on anyway and if it is real bad then I guess I will have to put some money into the rears. R32 rear brakes definitely look like one of the better options, am also thinking about upgrading the discs and pads and leaving the oem caliper but I don't know if that'll be enough.

Anyway, lets see how long it takes me to get the front kit on first and Ill take it from there.
Thanks for all your feedback and help. Enjoy the brakes when you do stop driving around like a granny. :p

Nope! Feel free to buy it from me if you wish, though! Haha

Yeah but the interior on the mk5 is 100 times better than a pre fl cupra. It's also the S3 engine detuned so has k04 and s3 injectors, but the cupra is just a GTI engine.

Is there much in price between cupra r and edition 30?

Cupra and Ed 30 are both ko4. I thought they were pretty much the same, except that the Cupra has 10bhp more.

Interior is a bit nicer, but none of the mk5 interiors are that great. Generally perceived as a step down from the mk4, but a much better car in every other respect!

With and Ed30 you are paying for the badge and the image, maybe DSG option if that kind of thing floats your boat.

came up much better so took them off and polished them then sealed with some poor boys wheel sealant. Soooo much better looking

then tried the snow foam which is awesome very thick and just shows you whats still on the car after a normal wash (picture was once it had been on for 10 mins or so)

Then done the 3 stages of meguires deep crystal polish and carnoba wax to finish. Car was some difference but it started to chuck it down so no piccys but car was spotless
