Spoilt it to some Shell Nitro+ Unleaded, wah! Curious to see if it makes any difference to the TSI performance/ refinement. Seemed maybe a little smoother on the drive home.

Just about to head over to Glasgow to get the car Terra Cleaned. Last attempt at getting rid of this misfire easily. Wish me luck lol

Had another play with some headlights, just need to polish up the lens and then they will be on eBay unless I get an offer here!

Hey robthebubble,

Do you still have these for sale or have they been sold?

If you still have them how much would you want for them I can't find them on eBay.

Cheers

Is that a question to me? If so they are pre FL, they are bi-xenon which is connected to the existing full beam headlight giving you dual beam. However, this is only if you are going down the HID route....if you were to stay with standard halogen bulbs its a case of changing the wiring so that they act as both dipped and full beam. The existing side lights would still be used too.

Basically, unless the ballasts are fully charged the bi-xenons won't flash hence having the original full beam lights, however when your dipped beam is on the bi-xenon works (as the ballasts are already charged).

im thick as foook when comes to things like this i can do things with my hands but trying to understand thing involving electrics fry my brain lol

i have the standard headlights so would i need to buy ballasts like as if going hid then these will just plug straight in yeah??

How much is the terra cleaning stuff? Also where did you go big eck?

Gutted you've still got that misfire :(

Its £126 all in mate. Warpspeed performance in Kilbirnie do it.

Sorry to hear it didn't clear up the misfire problem Eck. Remind me, have you changed the injector in the problem cylinder yet?

That's the next thing to be done now mate, its quite a big expensive job so I wanted to try the cheaper most obvious things first. I think the injectors around the £100 mark but its the labour to remove/refit the inlet that's gonna cost me.

Not on eBay yet as I still need to do the other headlight! Lol they will be for sale and I've had some interest in them already. As for a price, I need to work that out based on a set of OEM headlights, the bixenon projectors, shrouds, XB led halos and my time to make them! Will keep people posted once done however I will be making some more if required!

You don't need HIDs with ballasts although these headlights will work and pass the MOT as they don't dazzle oncoming drivers. You can use standard H1 bulbs however some minor connection alterations would be required but this can easily be done to make them plug n play!

The only reason the MOT tester is a bit iffy is because people put them in their standard reflectors and they are so bright they dazzle oncoming drivers. Hids is bixenon projectors have the correct cutoff line just like OEM bixenon headlights. You can buy Hids with the H7R bulb which basically has part of it covered and helps to stop dazzling.

Once sorted ill let you know. Remember, these lights are bespoke and can be designed to different styles based on the shrouds, halos etc.

Not massive but noticeable so far. Usually around 25mpg about town, its just over 30mpg now.

5mpg increase around town is a good improvement. my mpg came up 5 mpg after having the timing reset.

Could you have a loom problem instread of the injector itself. What about doing the labour yourself to save costs.

This guy is in Ballymena but he is an injector specialist in that he refurbishes them and sets pop pressures etc. You could maybe see if he could advise or help in some way.
