today has been a week in the making. some of you maybe aware i was collecting parts for my car to get fitted.

Early last week i ordered some parts from Awesome. Al did me a cracking deal i handed over my credit card and waited for delivery :)

in need of getting my box of goodies fitted i tried some local companies but to be fair i dont really trust Norfolk folk with my car. it then hit me (When he came on line via FB) AKS Tuning. quick chat (about 600 messages until he gave up and responded to me :cartman:) and i was booked in.

Alex fitted the follows

THS FR3 Full Mounting System
Vibratechnic Small Dogbone Mount
New Sparks Plugs
42dd Shifter Bushes
new exhaust bracket

decided since im all in for an upgrade and my credit card 'WAS' clear Alex threw on a Recon APR Pump.

Now my wallet was feeling a lot lighter(In Theory as it went on the credit card it wasnt actually lighter) but i didnt feel the BURN so continued my trip further from home down to Milton Keynes where i met up with Evan from APR. had a nice Stage 2+ map added to my car. should be somewhere between 360 to 380 bhp depending on rollers :)

when i left here decided the power was enough now but needed to make it look a little meaner. little detour on way home up to Kev at Triple R for a nice splitter. whilst there Kev measured my rear end for a plug :S so he can make a rear diffuser. the plug fit well so give him 2 weeks to finish the template then he will mould it. hes busy with a car show at present. fiesta in a ditch or somthing :S

ill get my car dyno'd at Clive atthowe which i know are good rollers and ill get some pictures up soon :)

yea that was me. worth the wait ;) i couldnt believe the difference they made to be honest

yea and it was nearly even more when Alex offered me a S-ALK kit fitted. lol ill go back in Later to get that when i have to return to APR to get the Stalk software installed. Evan thinks a few more weeks. its in trial now :)

i am actually loving the map. i took my Rolling road print out from Jabba down to Evan and i got a wierd look and something about it being lumpy and juddery. Tires i thought were going to be back 2nd gear full blown accel spins but 3rd is fine.

Sounds like Smee has had an awesome day out!

ill be honest i really REALLY aint liking the mount, Cabin vibration is a b!tch to say the least. 1st and 2nd Gear is just TERRIBLE but once you get over 2k rpm they settle down. been told they will bed in and im sure i will get use to it eventually

problem i had is i was only planning on stage 2 but when i jacked the car up to put my undertray back on i say my downpipe bracket had cracked again. luckily i had a spare but didnt want it to happen again so thought id go to town on my empty credit card lol.

to be fair to APR, AKS and AWESOME i got some CRACKING deals which made my decision alot easy

went out for a blast full beans 3rd 4th and 5th. its just crazy speed and acceleration. and compared to my Jabba stage1 its leaps and bounds ahead

I did the same as you leero.

Much easier to remove the grill then detach the chrome bit from the grill and then wrap it.

You got a pic Andy??
I 'tried' to get the surround off this grille when I first got it but it didnt wana budge. When I say tried, I played with the clips. Didn't want to brake it lol.

Hi mate,

There are a couple of pics about 2 or 3 pages back on this thread. Also if you go to my profile page and have a look in my album there is a couple of pics there too of the wrapped grill.

When I got my grill off, I used a cut up cd holder to wedge under the chrome trim clips that attach it to the black part of the grill.
I used a small flat head screw driver to push the clip in s bit then wedge it with a bit of plastic from the cut up cd case.

Once you get one side off and unclipped, it comes off very easily. Just have to take your time mate
