Drove the new intake for 30 miles.

Here are my findings:-

Finish is first class

Set up is slightly quieter than my old one

Pick up is more aggressive

Top end power seems to be better

On block 32/33 on idle cars MAF readings are bang on 0% previously fluctuating 2 or 3 % on old intake

Air flow is up on WOT by 20 g/s

Very happy with the car as it stands :)

Very impressive. I did alot of work on the 1.8T k04 large bore intakes and so can appreciate the flow gained here. What did you upgrade from... stock or an aftermarket setup.
When i upgrade to a MK2 in a few years time i'll design a monster intake for it....these 2.0T's are superb.

Had the VF intake willy with GROUP A KnN cone with trumpet, in fareness the MAF readings aren't 100% the piping was 2 1/2" and now 3". Has the heat shield etc :)

I can't believe the VF was only 2.5 inch. 3 inch is ok but will still affect flow high revs. If your really hardcore put some 4 inch silicon (or 3.5) on and try an experiment. You will gain even more.
