Anyone answer this please?

Depends where in the air intake the sensor sits. If it is slightly off centre it will see a different figure than one in the middle. The dBilas intake is an extreme example of this.

Sideskirts are getting fitted tomorrow. So will post pics :) also removing aircon unit and putting on smaller drive belt.

Benefits- a couple of horses are used to drive the aircon unit so will see a slight power increase.

- a bit of weight saving as the AC core is pretty heavy

- above all more air on the intercooler which means lower intake temps which means less timing pull :)

Negatives- sweaty balls!

does it actually use horses to power it?? has it ever been proven that AC switched off is still sapping power???

reason i ask is i know when you switch it off the rev drop so wasnt sure

Anything the engine has to turn uses energy or power, so one less thing for it to drive will allow power to be focused on forward movement. Same as lightweight brake discs, lightened flywheels etc.
