Its strange as when you look down the back of the foam, there is no joint.
Still trying to upload a pic that shows down the back of it
All is painted in the same colour as car body
And you can see the windo and where the regulator bolts to the body

is there anything i can do with these??
there is staining on the door cards and were damp when removed....
Can see marks on the door surround in the picture where it is most prevelant

Just seal the rip with gaffa tape, not sure what else can go wrong.
Maybe cover the door in thick plastic so the water drips down still?

Cheers to dub steve his article on sealing the doors was spot on, we had a few days of major downpours and i'm checking the carpets every 5 mins to make sure they are still dry and so far so good!
The walk through made sealing the doors myself a piece of cake and saved me £££'s putting it into the stealers! Spot on mate!

This water leak is driving me mad, my driver side footwells were sopping wet, as in squishy like wet grass! Im going to have to pay someone to do mine as im not clever enough...

It really is easy, just use the butyl seal to do it. The silicone route will come back to bite you on the ass!
Just for fun, I rang my local Seat dealership this afternoon, and they said they can fix it, but its a labour intensive job. They said the will remove the entire interior strip the carpets out, dry them and clean them, then source the leak and repair it. She said it would be a minimum of 5 hours work plus whatever parts I need and any extra time it takes to make repairs. She stated their labor is 85gbp per hour plus VAT, but she said they would do it for 65gbp per hour plus vat because its such a big extensive job. MINIMUM 325quid! I think I had better find someone more clever than me whose willing to do the job. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to get the water out in the mean time?
Wet Vac whatever you can get out of it and turn the heat towards the floor for a while but if its as wet as you say you will probably need to strip the carpet back.
Run some insulation tape along bottom of the window where the glass goes into the rubber to stop some of the water getting into the door panel.
Go onto ebay and get some of the butyl rubber seal to fix the door ASAP, you will be better fixing the problem before you start to try and dry the floor out
