I've got a doubt....why if you all guys are in europe...and the car is being produced in spain...which is like 1hr form you...are getting soooo long delivery times??

I'm in Mexico, I gave the down payment yesterday and it's gonna be ready next saturday....well...actually wednesday but I cannot pick it up so I chose saturday instead

Are you insane??? Birmingham is an hour away from me, Spain follows closely at 1300 miles!!
Also the cars come over here by boat, not superjet, so I don't know how fast you can paddle but it takes quite a bit longer for the Spanish!!

i had a call today from the dealer saying my car fr+ dsg was being shipped this week, he reckons it will be here by the end of next week, cant wait, its been a long 5 months

Good to hear mate, mine is about the same time so been a ballache!! Whats your spec?

proper ballache mate, mines week build 47.... the spec on mine is fr+ 170 diesel with the dsg box and its defo got the 2.2 media system and got the car in emotion red, standard 18' rims, zenon lights, front and rear park censors all standard, i had to wait 12 weeks 4 years ago for a v w golf so its pretty much the same as the seat factory was closed for 4 weeks in august and the dsg box is a longer wait than a manual, it dont make it any easier though coz im a big kid

Good choice, I've gone for the same except in Phantom Black. I didnt go for the leather seats but chose the winter pack on top anyway, just to see what the seats would be like etc.

It's an amazing pack for the price on the FR+. If you spec an FR now its about 1700 more.

Cant wait to play with the paddles.!!!

I am getting a Leon 1.4 TSI 125 FR 2012 model with the rear led's, i think there nice so if anyone wants any pics in the day, dusk or dark il help, the press photos look Photoshoped. Im sad that the seats dont have FR on but they do have red stitching and i most likely will fit an older FR gear stick

Before you laugh at my weedy 1.4 turbo it will be remapped to 160bhp but its insurance that i like about it, less than a golf match 1.4 tsi and i should know stock mk6's arent sporty and there bit boring inside, thats why im swapping So i am happy that there is a low powered FR, Seat has opened the FR to a wider market so im happy!

Also my car will be the new metallic nevada white so pics for anyone who wants real life reference!

Hey, no no, fair play to you mate!! The car ive got at the min is a 1.4 tsi Leon and to be fair it flies for the size of the engine. Only reason im getting rid is i do motorway miles and it guzzles the fuel at times!! That and the fact im going up to a 2.0 FR DSG haha!!

Im not too fussed about the logo's to be fair.. its the car im buying not the stitching ha!!

So whats your ETA for it then?

nowt to laugh at mate, the 1.4 is a great engine, its just im a derv head, i got mates with black cars and they look great, just to much work to keep clean for me as i have mobility problems and the misses said i could have what car i wanted as long as its not white so i had to play ball and be a good boy coz she's the gaffa !

The waiting game of knowing it is somewhere between here and Spain is worse than actually waiting for it to be built hahah!!

I'd like to get it remapped. Is this possible for DSG and does anybody have any recommendations for who to do it?

Also, would anybody like to give their feedback on the armrests that are available. Are they comfy? Look good? Or do they just get in the way?

I assume were talking about the 211 TSI 2.0 FR not the 2.0 CR FR? Either case they can both be remapped with no issues to the DSG, the list of tuners is endless depending on your location.

+ or 140? either way Awesome GTI in Irlam do Revo or their own maps, shouldnt be too far away for ya, i got mine stage 2 in Mansfield by 5hark, cant fault it one bit, but there are loads tbh mate.

its the 170 +. I did have a look at that Super Chips place but it was well over £400.

i had a superchips/bluefin for my old PD, it was a decent enough map, not the best figures but a comfortable drive as well as the PD could be. Benefit with those is that you get a handset that you can turn off when you need to. but there is faster and cheaper maps out there, just dont get some pikey in a van with his dog and a laptop for £100 or you wont last long

I was told that the delivery time for my 1.4TSI FR(+) is aprox 10-12 weeks. Cant wait to get it. Just have to order some bits and bobs before the car comes. Im also getting Opti-coat 2.0 treatment (+ both wheels).

My car was already at the docks, stock 1.4tsi 6 speed FR in metallic white, i couldn't be bothered to wait a few month for Bluetooth and I couldn't be bothered driving a 1.6tdi golf anymore so i got the quick option should get it next weekish

Oh the only factory option I added is a arm rest... And it's manual.

What is the arm rest like?? Is it worth the money or does it just get in the way?
