LCR for me at almost 28 years old with 8 years no claims and 6 points to declare, plus a few mods (see sig) Adrian flux first year was £685 and down to £500 last september. Well worth getting a quote. Also heard greenlight are very good too.

some websites look/feel similar because they are in actual fact underwritten by the same company i believe. However each "brand" has its specific target market thats why * get the diff prices..you just need to figure out which company want "your type" of custom.

Just for peoples interest...im 24 with cupra 180 bhp, 3 valid points and 3 which are still there but in their 4th year so not valid, 1 years ncb and im paying about £90ish a month on a 10 month bonus accelerator policy with admiral.

Did you know when filling out those online forms try keeping your details the same and changing your title from mr to MRS and watch £300- £500 come off your premium!

Also insuring a partner on the car gives you a discount! I still have my ex girlfriend on my policy even though i aint spoke to her for a year!

well for the last 6 years i have been with Adrian Flux i have had all my cars through them included my modded show / track car. They have always been fantastic no hidden charges and you can pay for the cover either by 1 2 3 4 or 10 payments which is great if you are a bit short on the old cash.

i have 9 years no claims 3 points and for a 2001 Ibiza Cupra R fully comp with £100 excess which also includeds loads of extras like courtesy car, driving other peoples cars and i said with an exhaust and suspension and wheels blah blah for £300.

When i did quotes online I noticed that it can make a pretty big difference saying what job you do. e.g When on Direct Line the difference between saying you are a student (came out cheapest :-o ) and saying you are unemployed (expensive :-o ) was about £120ish. With all other jobs hovering somewhere between the two. Maybe wording your job differently may be able to save a bit? ;)

it's weird how they figure things out.....they are effectively sayng a student is less of a risk on the roads than somone who is unemployed!!

Im with Direct Line, 21 with 4 yrs NCB, quoted just over 700 for my LCR. Not too bad for my age! :) Dunno what they are like with mods though, as mines standard.

Im with DL,
im 23 with 5 NCB £476

I've got 2 months left and want to look at getting some mods but am not sure what DL will be like when i start listing mods like ECU remap, DV, Induction Kit :wtf:

Direct Line wont cover modified cars unless you're over 25, so if you're thinking of doing anything to the car, you'll need to find a new insurer. And trust me, from experience, when I say that DL do get their repair centres to check and report back on all mods regardless of the claim type and who's fault it is.

I’m 26 with 6 years NCB...Because I live in Manchester (M20) the cheapest quote I've managed to find is £950 through DL...

Just gave Adrian Flux a ring and they quoted me £650 (guaranteed NCB protection, courtesy car, £250 excess)...underwritten by NIG...BARGAIN!

I've been with Adrian Flux before and I've never had any problems with them...

I must live in a really crap area... last year the cheapest I found was just over £800 (27 years old with 9 years NCD) and that was with my sister on the policy as a named driver, which brought the price down by around £150!

Haven't got much in the way of mods either... :(

I have a CF postcode, although I live about 30 miles from Cardiff. I have a clean licence, but I have 3 points for an SP50 from June 2002 which is still within the 5 years the insurance companies like to screw you for. (Points are valid for 3 years and can be removed after 4 years)
