thinking of changing my fr tfsi to a cupra

got the cupra, went stage 1 superchips today. totally different performance than the fr. felt much quicker on stage 1 with no mods than the fr did on stage 2 with the milltek tb and itg. called andy at itg there and sorted out the part needed to swap over the intake so looking forward to getting everything back on again. thanks for all the help guys
yeah they quote around a 44bhp increase so maybe 280? a lot of the earlier cupras showed well over 237 on the dyno as standard, but this is 2nd hand with 27,000 on the clock so who knows. yeah i plan to go stage 2 asap, but have heard a few bad reviews for superchips on the k04's was thinking of going for a custom map from a tuner in N.Ireland instead?
i think its forum lottery tbh, I'll eventually go down the stage2 route but i'm going to change to either GIAC but most likely Jabbasport since they are very local to me and seem to know what they are upto 
yeah id say thats easly achievable with a revo map and a good cai, the itg will give around 10-15bhp alone on stage 1
i'd say mine is just under 300bhp and i have stg1, green panel filter and milltek cat back. I want to go for a sports cat and maybe a CAI. I might go for a K&N kit as i should be able to get one cheaper than normal price Oh and you have to get the exhaust it makes it sound sooooo much better.

have a look through here, on every single rolling road day all the cars that are tock, have made stock horsepower. which meanst that all the other cars on the day provided strapped down equally as well etc are running pretty accurate figures

nice one simon, take it the cupras will be almost identical to that figure-wise then, with same engine etc?

I wouldnt get hung up about the 300bhp figure mate as its a rolling road lottery after all. The stage one map transforms the way the car drives and it holds power for longer up the rev range than a standard Cupra.
My stage 1 cupra with only a map and a EVOMS intake can outrun the new Focus RS, Hawkeye Subaru STi Uk etc. And these two cars are meant to be 300bhp out of the box and alot more torque than the Stage 1 cupras. So it just shows numbers aint everything

nah we need people to spend in the middle of a recession, besides don't beleive what the news papers print
got the turbo pipe back from itg today, sent ot off to andy on wed, he got it thurs, fitted the dv valve thing, and posted it back again on the same day. what a hero. gonna get it fitted tomorrow, cant wait. then its milltek time

£350 i paid £1150 they were only on the car for about 6 months. think they still retail at around £1100
