Things I have discovered about the car.

Yes, there's 1 mile difference between my GPS and Formentor. It's almost as good as Audi, which had 0.6 mile (reading taken from OBD reader app) difference. In other cars, it was usually 2 miles at 70mph, Mercedes had 10 km difference at 250km/h.

Interestingly, American cars are spot on speed, comparing to navigation. They must have different legal requirements.
Thanks for the confirmation.

There goes my "buffer" I took into account when going slightly above the speed limit.

Stumbled across this a while back and forgot to put on.. you can turn the steering wheel heater on in the air con screen by touching the steering wheel on the screen. ( A lot easier to do it from the wheel like).

I’ve discovered my Matte Grey car is invisible to other road users.
I seriously had at least 3 people pull out in front of my yesterday and there’s seems to be a lot of drivers who consider it ok to steam up to a roundabout at warp speed and slam their brakes on at the last second, wtf is going on with peoples driving? Have they all forgotten how to do it over lockdown?
It’s only a matter of time before I stove in the side of some shitforbrains, I can feel it.

Not sure if this was mentioned.

I found out you can close the panoramic roof blinds by pressing and holding the lock spot on the outside of the handle. First it closes the windows if they are open but if you keep pressing, it will start to close the blinds.

Quite useful when I forget to close them before leaving the car and I am parked in the sunshine.

Alternatively hold the lock button on your key fob. And reverse for unlock (at least windows, don’t know about sunroof).

Solid white lanes on left hand side of country lanes are a pain, pull left to let oncoming traffic past and the lane assist steers you into the car you’re letting past, that’s not dangerous is it?
Also, unless it’s my imagination lane assist is even more aggressive at night.
I dislike a lot.

Something I discovered which nobody will thank me for knowing is when you are stopped and the engine has switched off, when you take your foot off the brake and apply the throttle, the brake light stays on by itself until the car starts moving even though the brake isn't pressed.

I am bored of myself for discovering this but shows an attention to detail.

This is probably due to Auto hold feature (Which I like).

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but in my previous car I was crap at putting the parking brake on after I put the car in park as I just kept forgetting as it was in a stupid position. In the Cupra you just press stop on the engine start/stop button and it automatically goes into park and puts the parking brake on.

You can turn off lane assist by simply pressing the button on the end of the indicator stork and then pressing ok on the right hand side of the steering wheel. I do this as soon as I start the car.

Thanks, I’ve started to turn it off also but looking forward to the day I can turn it off permanently instead of it being on by default, I don’t need to be fighting the steering all the time which is what it feels like. IMO it’s borderline dangerous in certain circumstances.

Maybe less about the car and more about the phone, but may save someone time/annoyance. Android Auto does not work with Huawei Mate 20 Pro (which does have GSM support).

I have an Oppo X2 Pro and when I test drove the car, I too struggled to get it to work. I could listen to music but Android Auto would not connect.

Doesn’t that button always take you to the space-age looking digital dash view? Just an extra annoyance having to scroll back through views to get the traditional dials (my preference).

? I have this phone, I don't have the car yet. Why does it not work? I have no problem in my current Audi.

Yes, I’m used to starting the car turning off the lane assist, putting my seat belt on and then pressing the view button 4 times to get the dash board view I like.

Android auto won't launch for me. Found this thread
