Nobody is going to deviate from electric in the longer term the rest is Musky twaddle but given he's Mr Electric the ICE lot don't have a big champion apart old boys moaning... personal view.

On this

"Arriving at the start of the next decade, the new Leon will be the fourth EV from the Volkswagen Group brand. It will join the forthcoming sub-€25,000 (sub-£20,800) Raval, the VW ID 5-twinned Tavascan and the Born, which is likely to enter a new generation just before the electric Leon arrives."

That's my thinking 2029 is the next major revision date, fits into the MIB cycles... why I say I'm waiting for MIB5 😉. Probably be a Tavascan 2. I see it seems to have some sort of a radiator.

Is the engine and tune on the new Leon 300 identical to the new golf 8.5 gti clubsport? Some positive reviews coming in for that car.
Auto express mentions a new turbo with pre-load which makes it more responsive:

"With torque rated at 400Nm available between 2,000 and 5,200rpm and a new turbo with a ‘preload’ function to keep it spinning for improved response"
We've finally had a response from the factory.

"This is correct, and the CUPRA Leon Hatch 2.0 TSI 300PS does share the same engine as the Golf Clubsport"

Nice, I thought it would be the case. Looking forward to hearing how you're enjoying the drive of it!
Will update shortly and plan to do a full review for the site. In short, it's ace! Still taking it steady for the first 500 miles but feels like better gearing and pickup over the pre-facelift. Had compliments on the colour from strangers too. :D

I'm not saying anything about the colour ;). The Carwow site and suspect the Cupra site allows you to test the colours. The Carwow one tallied very well with the workshop image above so they must have good daylight leds in the workshop for their work. That slight hint of green.

I'm sure it will go like a rocket.

The black lettering is much better than the old fashioned chrome, why on earth did they go back to that?
Black lettering I've always though the idea is to paint out the letters to be secretive why you pay extra to VW, least you did to buy the car without badges. Tavascan is like that, only the Tavascan is written on the lights in small lettering, nowhere else.

Syphon would have to have the badges in Taigra Grey to get the invisible result 😉. Reckon that's where the dark painting originated from to make the car special in so far as youndont know what this car is. This one's been made more special since it's more identifiable in black lettering on light paint. The Tavascan gets the lighted Cupra ID at the front. Probably it's the model that some people like to hide.
