Yeah do NOT go to halfords for that stuff, they will rip you off big time, I have something similar to Stezo with satnav and cost me £550

that sounds spot on, where abouts did you get yours from bud??

I got mine from caraudiosecurity.com it was the cheapest around but it did take a while to be delivered and there was no response from the company when I was waiting so it's a hit and miss really

the whole width is 18.98cm
the width of the frame js 9mm
if that makes sense

yeah i did mate, cheers. looks like i will have to trim some of the area behind the HU to make the frame fit snug. wish i could get it as well fitted as yours, dont fancy paying £100 though

Just wondering where you got the I B I Z A rear badges from?

They easy enough to fit or do you have to space them out yourself and that?

i got my badges from the dealer mate, they're readily spaced out and really easy to fit. really neatens out the back cost around £15 i think

i wouldnt suggest reusing the old ones as they would be hard to align and keep straight. plus the facelift badges are a slightly different font (wider and may be bigger)

heh thanks, i didnt know there was that many of us til recently. when i first joined there was only really me and gav1n. its a great colour isnt it?

ive got a black seat sport one (see page one) its unofficial but it looks OEM, really looks nice. only cost around £10 from fleabay. you should buy one and spray it volcano red

yeah i want to colour code the bump strips and handles, should finish it off nicely

stereo is nearly installed just gotta add the frame and connect my rear ipod cable when it comes, it looks and sounds amazing. best HU ive used, props to bigwill for tempting me to get one

i thought i'd select something neutral to cover my own back (doesnt seem to have worked) to be honest i'm more into trance/house

yeah i was paranoid when i first installed it but now not so much i usually park my car in a multi-story car park, people can't usually see it. even if i park my car outside its not that easy to tell unless its a really sunny day, lets face it we hardly ever have those heh. well worth it though, its an amazing stereo, my friends seem pretty impressed too.

heh you should mod your dash to fit one or even better those foldout ones look pretty smart too. i just like mine because it blends in well with the dash and sounds as good as it looks. i'm a pioneer wh0re really , even got a pioneer tv and amp in the house

Got it from ebay, cost £30 with gaitor. Sold the Gaitor for £20 so it only cost £10 in the end

Thanks for the positive comments, ideally want to do more exterior work, need to get my facelift bumper properly painted and hopefully attached sometime around summer.

I must admit I do really like the colour myself, quite a rare colour, theres only a couple of people on here with the same colour mk4s

Sadly i'm looking to upgrade to an FR TDi by the end of the year (thus the FR gear), i will be gutted when I replace it. It may not be for a while though as I really want a candy white one

it would be a shame, but the prices on the FR TDi's nowadays its so hard to resist, its a good move, but an emotional one, i still miss my lil 1.2

Yeah TDi is the future without a doubt, plus with the remaps and extras to improve it i'd probably never get bored heck i've even got a K&N kit for a PD130 already so i'm pretty much sold on one heh, just finding the right colour. can't wait
