Hope its got a tracker and I hope you disable the ODB port.

Wise words indeed for any potontial BMW buyer.

That was quick! What you got now? Brand new or second hand?

Lol, you go through them quick don't you mate ;)

What have you gone and bought now? The 135?

The 135 would be awesome.

135 would be my choice, can't wait to see what you get.

I pick it up tomorrow and as I'm a believer in not tempting fate, I will not announce it until I have it in my hands ;). I actually couldn't sleep last night I was too excited...thinking it was Friday today :(. It's fast, not quite remapped 335i fast but with a remap it'll be another level I'm sure.

Pics to follow after she's home!

See! did i not say about 6 months ago on your thread maybe you should sell for the coupe' before you spend too much on it. Still though it was a beautiful car, and to be honest i wouldn't suggest it's an old mans car at all. Just the average mid 20's kind of guy can't afford it. [B)]

Where did you see me with my black wheels? thanks, the MO's had their time now i've got some light superleggeras to get more traction, corner better etc

What did you buy instead ?!

You were right! I think if you've been used to tightened and braced up cars then driving a barge (albeit a superbly handling barge) isn't going to satify you for long unless you're ready to step out of the tuning game altogether. It was much more a poser's car I guess, it got so much attention I can tell you that but in that respect if I was to have another it'd be a 325i as you really don't need the performance...M3 aside.

I actually saw your car from the train, parked at your work. I've moved offices now so I don't see it up close but the colour scheme looked so good, very clean as always too :).

In response to your FB, I think I do still have VCDS but I'll check tonight.

Haha sorry guys, I've been flat out this weekend moving house. I haven't even had time to take any photos but it's...

a 135i :). I know you were probably thinking big and German however I was thinking, small with a big engine...something a little crazy. It's bloody quick and it's not mapped...yet, it's a really odd feeling to have a smaller car just ramp up power so quickly and yet be able to cruise along like a big German boat if that's your thing. MPG is MUCH better than the 335i convertible and road tax is financially affordable now :D and the handling is superb. The car has upper braces front and rear as standard, M-Sport suspension and the shorter wheel base really helps. The brakes are huge 6-pistons up front (standard equip) and some meaty singles at the rear, it stops on a penny. LSD...well that's reserved for the 1M but this has an electronic version of one which so far is working really well, it's a good middle ground between none & mechanical.

Oddly my E93 mats fit the car so that's some money saved, the interior is virtually immaculate as is the bodywork but that's reflected in the mileage...next to nothing. Wheels are anthracite colour, windows are tinted but I am questioning if the fronts are legal (this could just be cause the rear's are dark and the interior leather is black, however the policeman didn't complain on Saturday. Yes, I've already been pulled over but I wasn't being a naughty boy, it was due to the car not showing in my name and 'no' insurance. The wonders of a modern phone helped me out here as is showed him all my documents from my insurer. He was actually more interested in the car to be honest, it seems there aren't many 135i's around.

This car is a real eye opener when it comes to power-weight ratio, much the same as a Stage 2 LCR. I'd say right now it easily feels as quick as my old Leon if not faster. We're not quite at remapped 335i performance yet but it'll exceed that for sure. Rolling at least (at the same tune), this is much more a competitor for the TTRS/RS3...and it's a few KGs lighter.

I really want to get the car on a RR to make sure all is as it should be and to get a base line for performance.

So a quick spec (all BMW factory fitted)

- 3.0 Inline 6cyl Twin Turbo (306bhp/295lb-ft)
- Metallic Black
- Black Leather Seats & Trim
- Bluetooth w/Voice Control
- Telematics (Phone Uses Car Aerial)
- iDrive (Sat Nav)
- Full iPod Control
- AUX MP3 Player Input
- DVD Player (Playable Through iDrive)
- CD Changer
- Upgraded Speakers & Amplifiers
- Customisable Steering Wheel Controls
- Cruise Control
- Dual Xenon Headlamps
- Auto Lights
- Follow Me Home Lights
- DRL's Front & Rear
- Auto Wipers
- Climate Control
- Comfort Package
- Windows Drop & Raise on Keyfob
- Various Convenient Cabin Items (Armrest, Cup Holders, Storage etc)
- Luggage Straps In Boot
- Extra Interior Lighting
- Parking Sensors

I think that's it but I find something new all the time. I've already relocated the OBD port :).

We'll definitely be at the AMD RR Day!

Very nice motor. Just looking at the pics and I'd say the tints probably aren't legal, take it to your local police traffic centre and ask them if they could check it with a tintman. Much better to have it checked than get caught out and have the car prohibited and your licence endorsed!
