Not the best picture as its at night. He also had to cut around the reflector on the Fabia, but we dont have that problem as our reflectors are at the bottom.

I'm just waiting for my closest tinting company to quote me. Otherwise, I'll grab a tin of spray. Thing is, with the plastic being so dark on that Golf (and darker on some other cars I've seen), how can the lights shine through? Brighter bulbs?

They dont shine through as well as they should. Which is why the tinting spray could be an expensive option for £5.99 if the police done take kindly to them. You will need to get the tint spray taken off them or possibly new lights if you cant. At least with a tinting film, you get easily get that removed.

he used tint spray, eventually removed it useing paint thiners, and then changed the lights, since then hes had another 2 cars, didnt use brighter bulbs and no trouble from the police tht i know of

I guess I need to use common sense then, and not douse the lights in tinting spray

Should be easier for you with the red rear lights just looks crap on FR/cupra rear lights. You can't use LED in the rear lights either makes error messages come up, you can with the fog and reverse light though I have!

Sorry, could you elaborate? What's that about the LEDs?

I think Aimez mean using LED bulbs instead of normal bulbs.

yeh they probably will be tbh

Yes they kind of are but put together on a bulb (ish) shape they are much brighter. Wish they could be used as brake lights but they can't cos of the apparent error messages. You can use them as side lights in the headlights and as side indicator repeaters.

That's insane. Where do I get them, how much would they cost? I'd love those as reverse lights.

ebay is your friend i use led reverse light bulb but im sure the normal bulbs are better for seing where your going.
