I was looking at sets on POTN and the cheapest were £400.

That would brilliant if i can get some for that. I wont be trackdaying it so it will just be for looks.....again...thats if i dont get mega bad news from the garage about the temp gauge on friday !!....think positive though dan !

Been and got a quote today for the skirts and splitters and £200 for a paint match colour code....also popped into Midland VW as some guy on here recomended them and explained my temp gague problem....if its that i am only looking at £45 !!!

just need to sort out the funny knocking noises now i have since having a new exhaust system.

same here i have just fitted a cat back system and it is knocking realy bad just above the rear axle i think the pipe sits a little higher plus the body of the car is closer to the axle cause its lowered.

its realy anoying not sure how to stop it knocking yet cause there isnt much movement!!

Common problem on these cars. My exhaust is still knocking and I dont know how Im going to stop it knocking. Only way would be to put the standard suspension back on but I dont want the 'tractor stance' again.

where does yours knock??

i going to try bending the mounts around abit cause it only needs to move right slightly and the exhaust does move around much, what i can tell anyway,

It knocks around the rear beam somewhere and the 2 mounts knock together under the handbrake area. Both bits only knock when turning left.

Dont know how to fix it yet. Probably doesn't help I have a cat-back exhaust from a mk3 cupra = bigger diameter pipe.

i was looking for that exhaust for ages but couldnt find when then i found i guy breaking a gti on ebay
that had a cat back system i bought off him for £30 BARGIN!!

i took mine to the place where i had my last 16v done, they have a pretty good rep and my last one was perfect but i am getting a severe knocking noise when acclerating hard at first i though it was wheel spin but it feels like its right under my seat...

the other noise is coming from the back end ??? i am taking it back on saturday !!! not happy though...

(well not as unhappy as my misses who's just found out ive installed green number plate bulbs on the back of here 8v)
