The MK2 had chassis damage and wasn't worth repairing

The 2 MK3's we've wrecked have both been cat c's that we've bought for engine etc and then smashed the shells to bits and cashed in at the scrapyard next door

lol all good times, i remember stripping a mk3 polol down cos both chassis legs ahd split, so we thought we'd batter the poo out of the car shells
