Sere motors lol , apparently N75 is a fault code !! WTF

Alright guys , just had a rather unpleasant conversation with david at seres (who works at seat so is right !!)

Basicaly i orderd an N75 valve ,Recived a n249 , rang up seres to get it sorted , well apparently N75 is a fault code not a part (new one on me ) , After trying to get the part sorted i gave up , david works for seat so who's right !! was his response when i tryed to explain what i wanted ,

The Customer service is a joke at that place , and i wont be buying any parts again from them you dont speak to customers like that !!!,

Thought id share my frankly shocking experience with david at seres ,

No such part ,ok what controls my actuator david , what do awsome gti sell....... N75 valves .

so i woudnt hold much hope for anything else to do with seres , avoid imho ,

Sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience with one of our forum supporters, the feedback that we get from people who have used Sere motors is excellent.

Im sure this is a misunderstanding, that hopefully will get sorted to everyones satifisfaction.

Did you give Dave a part number? the N75 is not what its called on the parts system. The customer service is top notch and i have never had a bad experience, and when i have ever received a wrong part mainly by me supplying the wrong part number Dave has gone out of his was to be helpful and has accepted the return. I will always order my parts from him.

David is a spot on dealer and you won't find a better trader about , FACT! Always goes out of his way to help his customers. I'm sure he will be here to tell his side of the story soon.

sorry for your experance, dave is a top bloke who is allways very helpfull and goes out of his way to help people with there needs.

Because you have had a bad experience with him no need to slate him on the forums.

One of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of speaking to.
I've done many deals with Sere and the service has been exemplary.

Never had a problem with David myself...... always been very helpful any time I have been down to pick up parts.....

yes i gave him a part number philc , and i appreciate the fact theres a lot of happy customers ! was myself until today ! up until today he's always being good but.....

The fact remains when i ring seat dealer parts i expect them to know what an n75 is /does not be sent a n249 valve and certainly not to be told it is a fault code (which i know it isnt ,vw or SAE ) then to have him argue with me and say " i work for seat so who's right !!!" amongst other sarcastic agreeing to differ comments ! .this is not good customer service is it !! . besides the fact its bad info .

Im entitled to my opinion and arnt really botherd whether people agree with me or not ,im stating what happend today with seres .
and as a result will know longer be using them

Isn't David allowed to have an off day...? The guys only human, and has cares and worries like we all do. Thats why I included the first quote, you've been happy with him, and Sere's up to now, why let one experience change your entire view of what is, in many people's opinion according to this thread, a very reputable establishment?

wow...cant speak any higher of David at Sere...has supplied me with many parts, often with no postage or very redcued and his delivery is very very swift, have also recieved a couple of free parts just so he can help when other ring up regarding them. He recently stayed on the phone with me for a good 20 mins whilist he found a brake line that only cost a fiver...charged me 2 quid delivery which actually came to almost £3 on the stamp!...perhaps it was amisunderstanding or the tone of the conversation?

I must echo what everyone else has said, I've dealt with and recommended Dave on many, many, many occasions and wouldnt even think of goeng anywhere alse for parts..

As already said, I'm sure David has just had a off day. Remember that most parts dealers only go off what the computer tels them (David has a very good knowledge of SEAT parts).

Did the part that you recieved match the part number that you gave to Davis? If so, he has gave you what you asked for..

Have you sent him a PM to try and resolve it?
