Yer had it smoke tested and the breather pipe coming off the block was leaking. Smoke test was the only way to find it. Also the n75 valve was faulty. I would replace the n75 first.

Hey guys, sorry to dig up a really ols thread !

But did anyone ever sort this ??

Cheers

Mine turned out to be the seal around the oil filler cap was not good enough. I think there is another thread with all the information. This didn't get picked up with a smoke test as it was not under pressure.
The most probable cause is a leak 'somewhere' on the vac system. Don't go changing expensive parts like mafs as mine had nothing wrong with it. All it improved was a bit of responsiveness as the old one had done 100k.
If you cannot spot an obvious fault on the pcv system look for any tell tale oil splatters as the oil vapour will escape under pressure.

Good luck :)

Hi guys ok so i have been looking over all the vac pipes in the car and they all seem to be fine. However the 2 pipes directly under the inlet manifold were covered in thick black gunk ?? i read a post on here about possible pcv valve ??

The prob is only around 2k revs ?

Cheers
