Thing is if I do swap my self it will cost less than buying a Cupra plus my insurance is cheaper if I keep this and do the swap

But if you declare tge conversion which you should or the insurance on your car would be void, im all for engine conversions but dont convert whaf you can buy , if you said vr6 engine with a turbo id say hell yeah

To add fuel to the fire about this, I agree a unique (ish) Toledo would be interesting, maybe with something like this as a donor....

As it's s 4 cylinder, i would have thought most of the chassis work you've done could carry over. So then it's just a case of either putting this running gear in yours, or swapping the bits the other way.
Add the left overs to the remaining car which you could then sell to recoup some of your money....

you can buy a full cupra now for around £800 running but i argue again don't build what you can buy , if your gonna do a conversion do something worth while like . 2.7 bi turbo out of s4 or a6 which are really cheap these days and aren't as over sensored like the cupra

If you get a cupra you can just swap over your wheels, suspension and interior.

Put the cupra stuff on yours and sell it.

Kind of with seatcupramad23 on this, if you were going for something different like and r32 or biturbo block i'd understand.
