Always enjoy catching with your progress. Blows me away with just how far you've come with the car. So no, they aren't boring updates...

Hope you're feeling better? Look forward to seeing the next couple of weeks progress :D

Oil level/temperature sensor.

The shot above shows it in your sump.

ahh no it is oem mounted, I mounted that oilsump when we builded the engine a couple of months ago, Plan was that i could connect the Oiltemp to it..
I builded a engine and when ready we just swapped. and the GTI the engine came from had that one mounted.

but as im not sure it would work with my gauge, and already had the oilsump down so I mounted the temp sensor that came with the gauge i have..

I would not like to take it down again if it wouldn't work. and as all electric is of the car now i couldnt test it. so took the safer way and mounted the other in case it wouldnt..

sorry that i wasnt so much help. :/

But it cant be to hard to mount one.
drill a hole and drill and make threads for the bolts then mount it as it is oem with gasket and bolts..
i can se if theres any part number on it if that helps?

cheers

Ah. Thanks anyway mate.

I have ran the wiring, plugged in a TOG Sensor to test before fitting a sump with opening, but I can't seem to figure out the coding. I was hoping you may of done it.

Never mind. Keep up the great work. Please bring it to GTi International.

Also Recived some goddies from Marc @ Sorensenperformance in DK

A Stage 1 + Aluminium Manifold with Direct Port Injection for methanol. :)

I initially ordered the stage 2 with extra fuelrailbar on top. but i didnt want to wait no more as they are on backorder in USA so i took the stage1+ that was in stock only difference is the extra fuelrail. And i hope i can survive without that :)

Talked to the Coating firm guy about the intake and it will be combo Coated..
Intake will be Combo Coated..

Part towards Engine will be
THBC (Thermal Heat barrier coating)
+
Rest of Manifold body will be
Coated with TDC (Thermal Dispersant coating)
this gives 20-25% better heat transfer from the material.

Also there is a Polar FIS Advance+ Box for my new speedo so i can have live data from ECU in my FIS Display.

Tommorow is long day so probably will come a few pics again
