Although none of us probably pootle around in these cars I would have thought it unwise to claim that you have broken the speed limit by 200%!!!

Pretty much the sole reason the SCN community shy away from speeding claims and "My LCR vs. xxx" threads. As I said before.

Just had a Jabba re-map done this week and my figures were 204.7 bhp - 250 LBs/Ft

What you guys think of that...? good? bad?

2004 LC with BMC, Forge DV & custom cat back exhaust

TBH i was a bit dissapointed with the 204.7 bhp as before the re-map i had 189 bhp and was told to expect 215-220 bhp after the map...

my bhp figures was about that when i first had it on wills rr at performance torque. i did go down again a week ago for a second run as it started to suffer from heatsoak on the first run, new figures came out at 218bhp and 235lbs/ft of torque which i was very happy with.

Well, torque is turning force. i.e. the force at which your wheels are being turned. Which is why diesel is utilised as a fuel for construction vehicles with heavy loads and the humble Transit van.

Torque has a great effect on acceleration; more so than horse-power. But horse-power is the ability to turn faster. Therfore controlling top-end speed.

A healthy compromise is best, in my opinion.

So yeh, your LBs/Ft output is gorgeous!

(And yes I know that was a very, very basic interpretation of that could otherwise be expressed as a series of complex formulae). :D

spike of torque (slip of wheel during run) or a sustained torque curve?
