What's the mount like as far as cabin noise and vibration? If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost?

This is probably going to sound ridiculous but i seem to get less vibration in the cabin than with the poly.
It is a tiny bit more noisy but barely noticeable and only really when you start to labour the engine, you can feel it through the pedals a little more though
Definitely had no hop however the GBB will be helping with that too
I'll PM you price

Not much happened recently nor will be happening for a bit either
Popped down to my cars second home last night for a few bits and pieces

Whilst there it was given a quick going over and my mate constantly banging on about tyre black, admittedly this morning it did look good so I took a pic

Had a normal drive home tonight and must thank the lorry driver for having things hanging off his wagon causing this

Taking the car to le mans in about 10 days so this is all I need, after changing most of the front end suspension apart from the droplinks these are now knocking
Going to service it and change the fuel filter on the weekend ready for its 1200 mile round trip
Even made some time for my car instead and changed the TIP last week for a black one, don't have any pics and a good job really as the car is covered in bird crap and dirt

Not ideal mate but I'm sure you'll get the car all sorted in time for Le Mans.. which should be epic!

Cheers dude, glad to see you're keeping yours too
when is the engine & floor coming out?

Unfortunately mate not anytime soon, think this needs to be renamed project slow coach
Still need to sort out money to order my head rebuild bits, finishing paying for my diff and buy grahams SEM too
Like most I've felt the pinch of ever increasing cost of living and constant price hikes, also having flown the nest to stand 'independantly' means I have a much less disposable income
Im still planning on doing everything but refuse to skrimp on the quality parts meaning it takes longer to accrue what I need, so I havnt given up by any means and the goal is still the same but it will just take longer to get there

In preparation for the leons 1200 mile round trip next week I thought id better give it a going over.
First job was to replace the droplinks as nearly all the front bits bar the struts are almost new and im getting a slight knock under hard braking or accelerating, so courtesy of barn

After a quick oil change I thought i'd get a pic of the lower engine mount now its fitted

Whilst doing it I thought id empty the catch can too any was surprised just how much came out. there was a bottle in a bin bag so used that to empty into

I was going to change the fuel filter too but turned the car on after the oil change so will do it one night in the week
Windscreen is being replaced on Wednesday afternoon and off to le mans Thursday morning so that's cutting it a bit fine but hopefully will go smoothly

Hope you enjoy Le Mans!!!
I'll be interested to see how you get on with the new mount as I've heard rumours of them braking with heavy use.

Had a trip down to the south today to meet mike (jus2sly) for a good chat about clutch and flywheel setups etc
Was a very warm drive down as I found my aircon has now totally leaked out so need to get a new o-ring and get it regassed for our 1 day of summer next year
Whilst there I picked up some mechanical wizardry, a nice new wavetrac lsd to suit a Quattro box

Yet more stuff added to the room full of shiny and expensive bits

Good buy Tim. I've spoken to people that run Quattro's on track any they said the diff is needed. I can't wait until all these bits start coming together honing to be a great car!
Sorry I missed you at inters. I was dead by Sunday.

Its ok mate, I did have a look for you on sunday but didn't see you.
Im so tempted to fit the diff to the Quattro box and just see if I can shoe horn it in with out transfer box fouling on downpipe
