I can wrap most simple shape's with "real" carbon fiber ;)
Saw your build thread, and I have to say it was funny reading the one about you just got the carbon kit.. you know, the one that you were asking too much. :cartman:

But that carbon kit is different altogether than Rob's sticky Carbon Sheet.. right? I wanna wrap my AGN Engine Coverrr. Forge doesn't make one for my non turbo engine one. :p

Rob, if you have some of the carbon sheet material off cuts, try aplying the gloss on that first before you do anything to the mirror covers. In that way if your test piece rejects the gloss then atleast your view mirror case will not be screwed.

I took a small offcut and stuck it on an old container and gave it a couple of light coats of gloss clearcoat - and it worked. Seems to have taken ok and is quite shiny, looks like it will need a few coats to build it up into a smooth layer but it looks like it will work, I'll get some pics soon.

Sounds good so far, lets hope the second coat stays and you can paint the wing mirror covers and hopefully the B pillars.

Just an Idea, Have you thought of covering the steering wheel with this stuff? I bet it would look good.

nothing I reckon, just solely for cosmetic purposes unless you are running very high powered applications like GT2871+ etc

How exactly?

Even the GT2X hybrid Rob is running will probably be achieving the same peak boost levels as a GT2871R etc anyway. No matter how much boost your running if its hard piped it going to be better, less chance of leaks/collapsing.

Exactly, I think Jamie is just guessing wrongly, most people including Bill go for as much hard pipe as possible.

I installed the APR fuel pump today, pretty easy job, took about an hour to do, peace of mind now knowing the pump is good for up to around 360bhp.

rob have you thought of hireing a mandral bender from hss for example, you could make your own pipes then and its only circa £20 to hire one.

Rob did have a walbro pump fitted previously? What was the reason to change it if so?

Where abouts does the APR pump fit.

Just out of curiousity

Well I don't know if it just me.. anyone seen a Pagani Zonda with those Full Carbon In-dash trim?

Your little mod reminds me of that. I don't think it would hurt too much to the eye going "OTT" if you're going to fully trim the dash with the carbon, no?
