Today I experience the car when in neutral the revs climbed with out me doing anything then started making a weird noise. After a quick look under the bonnet with air filter off it seemed it was coming from PCV area when I pressed the round part of the PCV, engine tried to cut out then idled normally until revved then let isle as normal then done the same thing.

PCV on the CDL engine is held on with 4-6 tiny screws and just pulls off. 5 min job to replace. But you could take it off and have a look inside. Generally, there will be some oil residue. but if it's covered then it's gone.

Thanks for your help. I’ve cleaned and ran it for a bit everything seems fine now so if it happens again I’ll replace or delete I think
