Just like my FMIC maybe it will be forgotten to you mo :funk: lol

Dout it tho :(

You can't compare this with the FMIC set-up......... that was something special <3

Betcha you're glad thats all done now eh Mo??? Think of that stage 2 map as a carrot for you hold onto her for a bit longer - i bet you were soooo close to just getting rid of her ;P

Very glad Jon, I'm loving the Stage 2 map, I still have plans for her, so will be keeping her until I'm 100% satisfied.

car must now be flying now, suprise it only made 170bhp with a stage1 map though

The fault was NOT found when it made 166BHP while it was boosting at a maximum of 0.4BAR! Which im quiet impressed about, not even half the boost yet almost standard BHP!!!

Oh and I removed the Stage 1 map and flashed it to standard map, I wanted Vince to start from fresh to create the customer Stage 2 map which he did, spent a few hours, and about 8/9 runs on the rollers before deciding to call it a day because of the slipping clutch

top news, glad you sorted it mate :)

Ay, I feel well relieved thanks

Well you will keep fiddling with things wont you!:cartman:;)

Glad you got your car back fixed. Must feel like a fresh remap.:D
Happy days

This won't stop me probing the car further, the Stage 2 feels amazing, pulls like a train, Vince pointed out the engine's pretty strong on her

Thanks bro, yeah got nothing but praise for Vince, awesome work, fantastic bloke, very friendly and helpful

glad its sorted mo enjoy the extra power m8

Well I had a choice of Revo Stage 2 or Customer Stage 2 on the rollers.... the decision was easy.

wahey, glad its sorted Mo. good news at last, glad it wasnt anything major and something simple.

I know, I was expecting "Mo, the turbo's gone" / "Mo the engine has to be pulled out" instead I got "I know what the problem is, here pop off, pop on.... fixed!"

Stealth Racing  :worship:

Customer Stage 2 Remap :drive1:

227 Bhp and 245ft of torque figures with potential to squeeze more......

I had a run where it made 229.8 something, that was before the tweaking

I want to say thanks to EVERYONE who has helped me by giving me positive advise, much appreciated.

Mo's back on track

Mo, if you don't mind me asking, how much did the original 'diagnostics' and remedy cost at Stealth?

About 6 weeks ago I bought a 2002 Cupra, factory standard. The 1st week of driving the turbo clearly worked, providing a lovely kick of power when the turbo kicked in, however that soon stopped and now the car drives like a normal injection engine, albeit with the whistle of the turbo still audible above 3k revs. Shortly after the turbo ceased to boost I booked it in for the max level of service at Barlows Seat in Wolverhampton (quite local to me) and they found and replaced 2 broken breather pipes. This did not rectify the turbo issue and my fuel economy is not what I would expect.

There are no new warning lights on the dashboard. (They previously came on in relation to the breather pipes)

Not sure if it would be any way related, but when I bought the car I did quickly get the engine warning light. I took it back to the trader I bought it from and he claimed it was tripped by a temp sensor on the side of the engine block and he simply reset the fault code. It was around then the turbo seemed to stop working.

Personally, other than checking oil levels and topping up washer bottles I know nothing about cars and engines so need to take the car somewhere trustworthy to be looked at! As it has to function as a family car ferrying around one toddler with another baby on the way I don't consider remaps an option, at least thats what I keep telling myself ;)
