You've got a bigger turbo tho too...

May be so BUT he is only running just over 1-2 psi more boost than standard,,

MOST may be running 4 or 5 psi more and that is where they get your power from.

This maps power is coming from other mods than just adding boost and fuel.
The map on this car is perfect for good power and torque and also mainley reliability.

And i would hazard a guess that it will also gain on fuel even when driven hard.

explain this psi stuff to me how did u know what my psi is from that readout

psi is boost pressure

standard 160PD runs 1.55 bar or 22.48 , yours has a PEAK of 24.27psi

a maximium difference of only 1.79 psi , which is a very low increase and will help for turbo reliability

The boost pressure map and boost maximium map are in the file that is loaded on to your car.

No your map is running only 1-2 psi more ,,
which is good because its not relying only on big boost and fuel to make good power.

What im trying to say is other people boast of big bhp BUT the are having to run massive boost to get it ,, and this is not always needed.

Ive tuned a fare few of these NEW 2006 cars for tuners and customers

(because it is a NEW software revision compared to the older models)

And it is tuned differently to the older models also.

which is why i asked the year in a pervious post i made.

Ive had dealings with will regarding this file a couple of weeks agao, that is how i know what is done and not done.

Hi Guys

Sorry, only just realised this thread had expanded!

As far as I remember, Clive who did Smee's dyno run, is also a Revo dealer. He said it was very similar to the Revo maps, which I am very happy about considering we knocked the fuelling back by quite a bit.

Smee needed a nice increase with minimum smoke, so we trimmed the injection down slightly, but I think a 30bhp increase is superb from a minimum smoke map.

I know Pete well, and often chat about various mapping techniques, especially when someone has a particular request like Smee. (The pain ;) )

i dont know what my standard fr psi was, but now its running at betweem 28-33 psi, i have absolutly no smoke what so ever at top end. I used to but changed my fuel to texaco fuel, and it greatly reduced the soot. My last rr read out was 192 bhp and 300lbft torque but that was at 25 psi and in 33 degree ambiant temperature. Will be good next saturday when she is back on some rollers again, with proper boost requesting and cooler temps.

My PSI boost pressure jumped up by about 6 PSI post remap. :) Went from 1.4 bar to 1.8 bar. It looks like a good map for a car with little turbo boost adjustment.
