PICCYS!

OK .... Spoke to my supplier.... under 10 people... £150... 10 people or over £140...

And that is delivered!

Here are my installations....

Drilled one "hanger" into the passenger side wing, behind the battery:

Screwed the other hanger into the plastic fan cover at the front:

Then had to drill into the light covers:

all secured with the x5 kit you get two cross braces so used one to mount inside the batteyr box so there is about 1" gap between battery and balast and the other is on a blukhead behind the washer jet with double side stiky sponge and heavy duty cable ties

I bought a kit of ebay, it came with rubber gromits to seal the light unit.. i think it would be a good idea to try seal those holes up with something to stop condensation getting in :)
"This weekend ... I shall be mostly ....."

doing that... ;)

Having said that, me thinks with the heat of the HID's a bucket of water in them would soon evaportate

Grommets and sealent this weekend.

PROMISE... :headhurt:

hids4u (Pilot) £225 + P&P 12 months

Back from the dead
I soooooooooooooo want to get excited about these HID kits, but can't help feeling I will be setting myself up for a load of hassle if I get some.

Want the power of HID's (without ANY MOT issues later on - or legal issues for that matter).

Other than the JE Design ones at footballer money are there any full on legal HID's you can use for the Leon (considering they are supposed to be self adjusting etc...)

£150 from me (well, my suppiler) has 12months warranty, plus delivery included

That is for 6000k.... I think it's an extra £10 or £20 for 8000k... but they dont reccomend it as you DO get pulled. Plus they for 4300k... for the same price as the 6000k.

I have some MORE turning up this weekend. for my mates SAXO. So that will be three sets from this guy. The two set I have had so far have been sweet. One H7 set for the LEon and one H1 set for the 200SX. The Saxo H4 set will be interesting with the "moving mirrors" .... will get some images.

Worst case is.... MOT fail. Unplug the HID's, put in your standard ones. Pass MOT, replug the HID's back in.

It's personal choice on if it's worth the hassle. I think it is.

one think I got told and compared with the HID kits is to stick to 6000k unless you want hassle from cops/MOT others look too blue and arise suspision. HID4u.co.uk also do the X5 kit thats where I got mine from.
