Ah ha! Have seen this banded around on the MKiv Golf forums. Looks good too, well worth doing.

Pete - did you have to trim the blade/cover to prevent it from catching the boot spoiler?

I've been looking for a better rear wiper for ages and couldn't find anything. The Fabia hatchback needs shortening to fit on a golf but is too small for a Leon. I couldn't find anything else so I decided I'd try it.

But then when chatting to Barry the parts guy at the local Skoda dealer he had a Fabia Estate wiper in stock... We took it out to check the size and it's a few mm smaller but that's it... So it fits perfectly on a Leon.

No cutting, no messing, just 2mins with a socket or spanner and you've got a new wiper...

Will post up the part numbers for it tonight...

WOW Pete! I like it.

The thing I like about it is the fact Joe Public won't even notice it but those in the know will !

Magic - I'll be sorting one out (once I actually buy my new car!)

Get one from a Fabia hatch - should be a similar size. Look at all the new cars on the road and they all have much tidier rear wipers. I have a Punto at home, though about swapping the wiper over but can'tbe arsed cos it's not working at the mo anyway:(

Dhop sorry guys I forgot last night...

Note in the palm Pilot to do it tonight ;)

Blends in so well even when I told people the mod was on the back they still didn't see it straight off... Even Leon owners :D

As for the beeza... Can someone measure from the middle of the wiper bolt to the end of the wiper... And also how much clearance there is between the standard wiper and the spoiler... I'll check which one will work ;)
