Not had the problem myself maybe cause I always garage it, however I wonder if during the winter at least it would be a good idea to make sure that the screen wash is very concentrated.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll top up my screen wash to a higher concentration.... can't stand all the fuss this would cause and it's just out of warrenty!!!!

I have put a small jubilee clip around the pipe on mine. It appears to have worked, well for the moment anyway. I have also switched back to 'Genuine' Screenwash and so far thats not frozen however it gets as cold as they say tonite, it maybe different tomorrow.

How can you tell its leaking ? Does the washer stop working altogether ? I had this on my mk2 but only found out by the pool of water in the spare wheel recess.

in my case little water came out the washer and when i opened the boot there was water round the lock

Yeah that was the same with me the first time, this time no water is coming out what-so-ever, also the boot lock is broken anyway so i cant open the boot to see if any water is coming from there. Very annoying, need to ring SEAT in the morning as i went early saturday (was booked in), but they had the wrong part, so now need to book it in again.

No rear wash!!

Mine also isn't working and having tried to use it the leaking water has caused the "boot open" light to come on the dash which in turn is triggering my alarm.
It is out of warranty by 9 months and the local dealer will charge £43+VAT for the repair. He said to try SEAT direct to see if it could be done under goodwill but SEAT said nooooo, they've never heard of the fault. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Pull the other one!
Poor customer service there.
Angry but no surprised.

Mine isnt working either, it never has! Thought the pump was gone and was going to wait till the next service. Having read this I better check the carpets, I held the washer on for a good 2 mins at least thinking it might clear the blockage!

brilliant put this in the guides section or sticky now as everyone has asked this including me!

Even if it was in the guides, everyone would still ask! It appears not many people look in there, especially for part numbers [:@]

If owt, PM Muddyboots about sticking a link in the FAQs, its his site so he deserves the credit! :)
