Nope, they're not obliged to give you anything - it's just a courtesy, hence the name...

took mine to JCT600 Bradford yesterday and they said it needs a new wiper motor????! :wtf:, then they tried to flog me the most expensive tyres and also tried to buy my car off me for stupid money. Methinks they are need of a little money!

They didn't break the rear boot panel though. :)

ARGH!!! just took the panel off and everything is connected but there is a break in the pipe about half way up the car inside the chassis! been on the fone to the Stealers to get it booked in and guess what, as of June this type of problem is no longer covered under warrenty unless the VW approved screenwash has been used to their specified strength :censored: [:@] so been quoted £26 to be fixed! Seat becoming skint?!?

I plan on taking of the whole thing off...Never use it any ways.It would make the rear a little more 'clean'. In the winter it's always frozen here (Finland) so there's just more potential to break it. Is there a separete sprayer motor for the rear jet? Rear wiper motor has it's own fuse, but there's only one fuse for the sprayer jet motor. Want to make sure one won't accidently use the rear washer.

That's pathetic service.

I have a problem in my LCR. Can anyone help? It's the second time my rear washer jet has packed up and I seem to have a wet boot. Today I noticed some loose wires/pipes under my passenger seat... Is this related? if not, what are these pipes?

David.

Thanks Folks

My dealer has told me that they will only fix it under warranty once, after that I have to pay!! Dealer is W Livingston in Hamilton, Scotland, they used to give great service but they have gone a bit "fu~k you" lately, changed management maybe? My other alternative is Arnold Clark in Edinburgh, but the car is out of warranty tomorrow and I'm going on holiday today, needs an MOT today, so I'm just going to sort it myself.

Thanks to muddyboots for the advice! I hadn't found the two screws under the lock cover. Just a lowly 1.2 but a reasonable amount of bodywork, switchgear, etc are the same so worth being a member here and talking to you guys with the souped up versions.

Cheers

Sisters came off and she was passing RM Fisher in Lancaster. She called in and they did it there and then for nothing. But then again, we have been a customer for the past 9 years!

ours has been in 3 times, the latter being a "while-u-wait" quickfix.

We were then shown how to remove the tail panel, and quickfix ourselves. Which I have done since. I put a cable tie round the end to stop it "popping off"
I did notice the broken clips and the rattling bootlid. It's going in for service this month, so it will be mentioned for them to replace the clips, and stop the rattling
