So got the car back from the dealer regarding the battery heater issue, and noticed the rear washer jet isn't working (it was working when it went in).

I pretty much know the dealers answer already, approved washer fluid wasn't used so won't be covered.

I cant see any water or any leaking and this happened before the cold weather, any thoughts?

Had the same issue. I’ve fixed it by removing the cap on the rear washer. Removed the nozzle and cleaned it with pressured air. A tiny little stone came out of it. Problem was solved then.

I bad the same issue the nozzle was blocked so cleared it out and it worked for a while. Then it stopped again so bought a new one for an Audi on ebay for a fiver and it's been spot on since.

Had the same issue with mine twice now. 1st time I thought it was blocked, so I cleaned it etc and put it back on but still wasn’t working, the water was coming out without the nozzle, then I noticed there was a crack on the part that pushes onto to the wiper. 2 weeks ago the exact thing happen, luckily it is only £1:50 from seat.

I think mine is totally clogged, but not just from the nozzle but possibly throughout the whole tubes. I've put a tooth pick into it, pretty deeply, first attempt it was like soft jelly.

These are photos are from second attempt with a clean toothpick. Ive not been able to get water to come out of it without the nozzle so I believe its a deeper issue. The front spray works perfectly fine, but when attempting to use the rear ones, I do hear the sounds from the car bonnet but no spray from the rear without the nozzle attached.

Have you guys come across any DIY videos on how to self fix it? If so I'd love to know. I've tried searches but its mostly different car models. Thank you.

I will buy a new nozzle for the rear for now as attempting to blow through it is impossible.

hmmmmm I think this might be it:

but will see if can at least disconnect some tubes at the front to make sure it's spraying to the back, I'd gratefully welcome any diagnostic advice prior to my attempts on the matter later.

Nice think I've found something, happy to remove if I'm incorrectly informing folk of wrong information, especially as its an Audi A3 but the parts look similar under the hood just glancing:

Had a tiny bit more luck how the sun fully out, there was a very brief squirt of water momentarily. Very thick viscous rusty water.

I'm not too sure where to start in terms of removing the plastic trim as I didn't want to use too much force incase I'll pull any cables away. Doesn't seem to be much give.

all good, just had to use more assertive force (little had after rotator cuff injury) around this initial area, then it pops off:

luckily disconnecting the tube here and letting it spray unhindered through the pump fixed it:}

the first 3 long holds were very weak but eventually it started flowing through unhindered, intitally very dark and gunky:

After hooking it back to the pump, it also started flowing through stronger after the 3rd long hold attempt so for now it look like i dont have to dismantel the pump/motor thing. Now im just waiting for the new washer jet part to arrive and install as i couldn't even blow through the old one:

Hope this helps others.
