Right had this car three days now and this is the second problem already noticed today the exhaust looked weird from the back so tried moving it and it dropped off from the middle brace I can see what looks like a metal jubilee clip but this is from a distance as it's pissing it down and can't get under properly yet anyway I pushed the exhaust back to the other section and it slotted on fine held fine looked fine drove home no probs so as Iam a complete noob with cars mechanics is it just a case of tightening said clip as the doesn't look to be any damage imo it's just come loose but thought best to check here first

You'll have to get a proper look. Sounds like the exhaust clamp has either came loose or broken.

There are 2 mounts for the backbox. One right after the bumper and one near the rear axle. The rear one looks like this:
Mine is where there two pieces of exhaust join and it looks like a big jubilee clip from a distance will get under there in the morning and see what tools I need it's a Blue flame exhaust well I think it's the manafactures name
What you have done is fine, you just pushed the rear box onto the centre section some more, there is quite a bit of adjustment on them.

Been under today and yes the clip as come loose but worse than that it's corroded to hell so needs a new one bought a 65mm u clip but it's not big enough so i presuming its 70 mm the exhaust is a blue flame oval one ?
