As you can see I've ditched the magnetic plate, its scratched the grill so I'm going to have to take it off and repaint it , so possibly going to do the flick plate think like JMS.

Just a thought with the plate mate order a normal number plate stick some long neo magnets to the plate itself and some behind the mesh/bumper where you want to mount it and it's easily removed and hidden if you want to take pictures etc that's what I'm going to do to my R32 as I've just had the front end smoothed

I'm going to order 10 of these 150873174647

I've got them mounted to the back of the grill, so the plate has something to stick to. I'm wonering if I need to use a more durable paint and lacquer as where the magnets are the face of the grill has been scratched

most traffic lights that dont have the light sensors on top have an induction loop in the floor and the strong magnet helps the light to know you have pulled up.

obviously its more advanced than that, but if there are no other cars detected on alternate roads in the lights sequence then it will prioritize the stronger signal.

there was talk years ago that police, fire and ambulances had magnets on them to reset the traffic light sequence when they pulled up so they could get through them without having to stop.

and the traffic lights with the light sensors on top can normally be triggered a fair few feet away, there are some near me that you can high beam flash from half way down the road so its green when you get there.
it does work better with a double flash of the high beams.

Have them painted professionally using a 2K paint (as used on external paint finishes).

Sexual pictures buddy... :)
