Got home from work today to find my landlord had decided to do the pointing on the house, with my car sitting in the yard:

What's the plan with the clean up? It seems as if there's quite a lot of cerment mix on the car. I'd be so annoyed, and probably would ask the lanlord to pay for a professional detailer to remove it, if it was bad enough, to avoid unnecessary scratching. However, if you felt confident enough and it wasn't too engrained, it would probably respond well to a few rounds of snow foam and pressuring washing before a shampoo and clay. What a PITA though mate [:@]

Maz (jonjay) had a similar thing happen to him and I think he did both of the above, at the builder's expense. Hope it's all ok.

Will you be fitting the top mounts/ coilovers yourself? I need to do my fronts desperately but struggled with seized nuts and wimped out first time round. Thinking I might go in with the 'big guns' this weekend. Some really good guides on here to help people along.

James :)

Luckily enough it wasnt engrained like in jonjays case. I gave it a few rounds of snowfoam and pressure washing last night, just need to shampoo and clay it. Seems to be ok but I wouldnt of dared attempted drying it. I am really annoyed with it, had to walk in the house last night and leave the missus to talk to the bloke that was doing the work (obviously after saying a few choice words[:@]). Just going to gauge it on the paint work, if it is scratched the landlord will be paying.

I had originally left the car in the yard as I had planed on working on it this weekend, however its out now so I took it to work today and i've got to say it seems to be driving really well at the minute:D. It's doubtfull it'll be goin on the rollers on the 18th though as R32OC are yet to get the numbers.

Coilovers I wont be fitting myself, I did consider it but I'm going to wimp out:(. R32 Rich has recommended a good garage that does work on his turbo charged R32, so it'll be going there. Hope you manage to get yours sorted this weekend.

Also considering getting a Blue Jetex cone as there isnt enough interest in the red ones. I'm just curious as to whether or not it'll flow better then the K&N:confused:.

Once I finally managed to get away from what turned out to be a hectic Monday at work. I came home to a very happy sight:

Just want to say a massive thanks to George (George 3G) for sourcing and supplying them. Anyone interested in coilovers should definately get in contact with George, I highly recommend his services.

Just need to get them fitted now.:funk:

I've got to say I'm impressed. I've driven lowered cars before but they never felt as solid as this does. It also changes direction really well. I'm going to give it a couple of days before I have a proper play.

It currently sits from the floor to the top of the arch at:
front - 645mm
rear - 640mm

I'll see how it settles and adjust accordingly.

I'm off work next week so it's going to get a good clean and then the spacers will be going on.

Motoscope with the R32OC is definately on now, so I'll be down there on 18th to get the car on the rollers.

Cheers for reading:)

Edit - Just thought I'd point out post 21:p

It only took a year to come round.:D

Yeah baby now we are talking, super dude. Let it settle a week (or depending on how much you drive it) and then get the tracking done

:D Cheers for the comments, cant wait to get the spacers on now. I'll drive it as much as possible in the next week (probably wont be that much to be honest:beer:). Shall I get the tracking done before it goes on the rollers?
